Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

He's not powerful. His decision making is questionable. Is he that quick? Is he even two footed? I can't really remember... He's played about three games of second tier football.

The lad's said our most valuable player "EVER" though. I think that's a bit silly.
Sorry pal, you haven't got a clue about the game

Young Tommy is a very powerful and athletic player, he's very two footed. His decision making is on an obviously very upward curve and anyone who has actually wated the lad play will have seen this.

I wouldn't say he's our most valuable player ever, but he could potentially become one the top few for sure

He has huge potential, I can see it with my very experienced football eyes

Would be a real shame. Looks a real talent we’ve seen little of. It’s the way the club act though so I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
Absolutely baffles me that people still believe that this is “the way the club act”.

Ignoring all the evidence to the contrary, some of which Wilson himself provides. We rejected bids for him before he was even involve.

I will say what I repeatedly said about Rigg over the last few years.

The only thing we actually know, is that Watson has signed every contract we've put in front of him at the first practicable opportunity.

Whilst I'm sure Brighton would love to have him in their squad this transfer in my opinion seems very unlikely. For the following reason.

1: We rejected a bid in the summer apparently, and very little has changed since then, that would make me think Brighton would significantly increase their bid.
2: He has only recently broken into the team, and is still our second choice left winger behind Mundle. It's unlikely he is going to be going into the first team of a competitive premier league side.
3: This means that practicality of the deal is that Brighton are looking to buy a player who would at best be a peripheral squad player, who will likely be expected to play U21 football to keep fit- and we would be selling a player who even if they aren't starting is likely to feature in most games when available.
4: This effects the economics as well..admittedly skewed because of the inequalities in the spending power of PL clubs Vs championship clubs- but we are selling an important team member, whose value will likely rise, and whose value to the team outweighs their current value (we know the player better).
5: He is injured.

Clueless

Thank god idiots like you are nowhere near any decisions, what a whopper
@chriswallace85 is not far wrong.

If it's a good deal we'd be losing someone who isn't contributing to the team currently, has had 1 very good game for us and has 18 months left on his contract. It wouldn't be the end of the world.
Watson is one the best ever to play in the academy. He’s massively rated by the club
Bold words

15mill upfront, Sell on Fee of least 10%, bonus if he plays for England, loan back for rest of the season with further year option.

That’s the words of the scouts and the club. They know that they’ve got on their hands with Watson, Rigg, Young and Harrison Jones prior to his back injury

Doubt the club would be looking to sell him, especially in this window. I guess it'll come down to if the offer is too good to refuse or if Watson wants to leave? Brighton do like to give young players a chance so you could see the attraction.
