Distribution and his footwork is woeful. He is though the best keeper at the club by a canny distance.
 
Patto, stop f***ing using your left foot....

Why he purposely shifts it on his left I'll never know. His right foot is OK at times, it's when he thinks he's 2 footed and goes on his left and it goes anywhere.

that's the problem with to many of our fans, they dont watch enough football... Patto is probably the only goalkeeper they watch. They are dropping clangers all over the place if they care to look, and its because of the much riskier role they have to play these days.

Most keepers push their luck to pass round the press, something Patto does better than most keepers you watch. Often he is tasked to hit the full backs on the flank to mix it up and make the oppos think twice about the press. When he does its percentage football. relying on his accuracy, our defender winning it, or our players picking up second ball. This is not a clear space he trying to drop it into. Its more Tony Norman onto Gordon Armstongs head than Pickford picking out a runner or unmarked player. Its not sophisticated and its not meant to be
