TEST SERIES :: Pakistan v West Indies

Thickheads don't realise making these sorts of pitches are just as hard for your own batters as the oppos.

The Pak batters need all the help they can get atm and these sorts of pitches are the antithesis of helping.

They've turned the test into a coin flip.
Don't know why they've dumped Shaheen, quality bowler going through a bit of a dip. Reckon Abbas would bowl canny on better pitches too.

Exactly. That's why the comments of Aqib Javed, who used to be a decent fast bowler himself, are all the more galling.

It'd be interesting to hear what the likes of Wasim and Waqar have to say about this controversial new policy.

Pakistan have got a real battery of proper fast bowlers of varying ages and experiences who for one reason or another have not been managed well at all. Work loads, injuries, strategies have all been botched for a long time.

- Naseem Shah (plus his younger bro Ubaid)
- Haris Rauf
- Muhammad Hussain
- Inshallah
- Zeeshan Neseer
- Muhammad Wasim

A few out and out 90mph+ bowlers off the top of my head, probably more, who Pakistan have at their disposal currently.

I haven't even included the medium fast bowlers who can swing it about a bit nor the 80mph swing bowlers like that Abbas.

If they're not cutting the mustard, do something about it, help them. Don't take a huge running dump on them.

True mate, plus they got Naseem Shah, Mohammad Husnain to name but a few. Weird how they just discarding a whole bunch of them. Bonkers. All for the win

Exactly and as you said it's not helping their batsman either, they don't have the most talented crop baring Babar really. Think they are playing kamikaze cricket on those pitches of theirs.
-----------

interestingly poised 145-5 with a lead of 154.. 200 could be enough  even 180

on a side note I just love Pakistani commentators they seem genuinely knowledgeable and likeable... Corky is actually very good away from the sensationalist white ball stuff.

Roach has come out to bat but I understand he won't bowl due to an injury while fielding.

He only bowled 6 overs in Pakistan's first innings but took two wickets.
