Gibson must have spent a lot of his own money over the years. Very commendable, but it hasn’t really moved the club on much

In terms of who has been the great beneficiary, Steve Gibson has put a hell of a lot more money into Middlesbrough Football Club than has been transferred in terms of group relief. His net contribution is still we are talking somewhere in the region of £200 million, based on my calculations." Maguire continued.

I could be wrong but I'm sure someone posted a link to their debt and whilst it's reducing about £130+ million is a shareholder loan from him. They couldn't have a better owner in modern times than him like.

Maybe we should be wanting the Boro to have a strong team? Apart from our upcoming game of course!
But after that we’re far enough ahead of them that all we need is them to compete in their games against Sheffield U, Burnley and Leeds
thinking ahead a good chance we will have to face them in the play offs. think i'de rather face them in the final than the semis over 2 games
