Morgan Whittaker

Who’s the striker they’re buying?

This suggests you think we’re just doing absolutely nowt cos somebody hasn’t tweeted. You’re not that silly are you?!

Well my g'kids often call me silly old granddad...

It's simple to do a job, you need the tools!

He will be a utility forward player. He won't play ahead of Doak on the right or ahead of Azaz in the 10 role, but he will probably start on the left and come inside. He will also be a utility forward player, shifting around those 3 positions behind the stirker if they rotate etc. They've signed Giles too for left back who will give them width down that side, meaning they dont need an out and out winger.

They will almost certainly lose Latte Lath though. They do have Conway who would then be the starter, with whittaker as an option there too.

He's been shit all season. I'd be gutted if we were in for him. Mediocre player who occasionally scores a long shot.

This. I just think people are getting hung up on moments from him (which there have been fewer of this season) and not his general play. If he was brought in as an option on the right, we'd have three or four we weren't sure of as a starter in that role instead of two or three.

My Argyle mate last night - "Regarding Whittaker, as you've heard me kvetch before, I've been kind of done with him for a while anyway. He's a one-trick pony who is lazy out of possession. Happy to let some other club overpay for him at this point"

Maybe we should be wanting the Boro to have a strong team? Apart from our upcoming game of course!
But after that we’re far enough ahead of them that all we need is them to compete in their games against Sheffield U, Burnley and Leeds

So a few are hoying their toys out of the pram because we’re not going for a player who has not performed well this season and has downed tools to get a move somewhere else?

Yeah devastated here.
We sold Stewart for £10m and Clarke for £15m and never seen us spend like Boro…..
Where has this “spending” got Boro? Miles away from the top 2 and barely in the top 6.
