2 days on a cherry pickerThat wouldn’t have taken long surely.
I worked with a few ex cat lads before and they pretty much said they got released before Christmas then asked to go back in the new year. But I don't think they've layed off for a few years until now. Seems like a waste of time unless you get permanent and they seem really hard to getAye..i was talking to a lad yesterday who's a team leader there..he says they've increased the build and are now recruiting..only one way to find out..contact the agency.
The same caterpillar that's just layed off before Christmas?

Walked out of it when they told me how much they were paying.![]()
No way to live that mind, can't plan nowtAlways hiring and firing that place
Almost impossible to get a permanent contract..there's an agreement with the union and the company that a certain percentage will be made up but it's not many..it's a good place to work regarding conditions and safety but the money isn't particularly good..used to be years ago but the pay rises have been poor so it's just kind of fell in line with other places.I worked with a few ex cat lads before and they pretty much said they got released before Christmas then asked to go back in the new year. Has Brexit made this worse?

Loads of agencies and firms do this, to break the service and prevent them having to make an employee permanent- after 2 yr or summit like thatI worked with a few ex cat lads before and they pretty much said they got released before Christmas then asked to go back in the new year. It is, the people who remain will be finishing jobs and clearing yard is what I have been told. Later in year finish. That seems to be a high number of the critical mass
