Far to small of sample size with Watson who was getting criticism before Sheffield United gameWe never missed him when Mundle and Watson were fit. Nothing against Clarke, but thats a fact.
Exactly. He took his bit and moved on and so should we.Forget him
He’s history
Exactly, some make it some don’t Clarke looks like he’s not going to be a player that does, and truthfully if that’s the case he’s not what we need going up, and we have Mundle and Watson to come back.Forget him

This. Hopefully we pass him on the way upIpswich won't loan him to us
We wouldn't go for him
He wouldn't come back
It's time to move on.
I think he could have made the step up to that level but went to the wrong place. Poorly advised from a career point of view but it’s about getting rich quick. Especially for the agent.we've sold them a player that hasn't been able to make the step up.
We've 2 players now who can play in that position - when they're fit - who are more than good enough for the championship.
So the model has worked for that position so far.
Let's move on.
I’d agree about moving on if they were fit and playing but there not. Get him back on loan instead of a forward and get us promoted.we've sold them a player that hasn't been able to make the step up.

If he was my son I’d of advised him to go to Ipswich and set himself up for life. If it doesn’t work out he’ll get another move and a hearty pay out. He can retire at 34 and not have to work again.I think he could have made the step up to that level but went to the wrong place. I agree, I did once say he was a bit of a one trick pony, but what a trick!
However if you are not going to play him in that role, not sure I see the point.
It was clearly the wrong move from a football perspective.
It's just a coping mechanism I think. Clarke would massively improve our team I don't see how it could be argued otherwise. He was considered the best player in the Championship by many when we sold him, yet some wouldn’t want him back now?
Is it just hurt feelings over him leaving, or?
That is the £50 million dollar question and a complete unknown at the moment, but you would have thought that the likes of Bellingham, Rigg, Le Fee and even Wilson Isidor (and not just these 4 only) would be good starters. So if we are trying to build a team that would compete at the next level but Clarkes isn’t good enough, who out of our current team would be?
The reality is that this is football & it should be every footballers aim to play in the premier league. There wouldn’t be many players turn down a move from the championship to the premier regardless of who their agent was. A big jump in wages & SAFC had just finished 16th the season before & maybe weren’t going to be challenging this season, all factors he would have taken into account. They did, we all know Harte was chomping at the bit. If he'd stay here longer and enhanced his reputation further he might have got a better move to an established PL team.
I can remember reading some of his quotes when he left and he said it would have been silly to have turned the move down as opposed to him saying what a fantastic opportunity it was for him.
