Incidentally the only time I've seen Sunderland play Newport County was in an FA Cup 3rd Round tie at Roker Park in January 1986. We won 2-0 and drew Manchester United at home in the next round and I seem remember Leighton James and Steve Berry (formerly of SAFC and Swindon) playing for them that day.
