We don’t mess about with it at the back. Keeping it simple.
It’s when we lose the ball we fight to get it back. Whilst we are not a long ball side we mix it up more. Definitely lack pace and need an experienced keeper.

Just do the basic things right more consistently.

That's the way to do it, football's an easy game made difficult by idiots. Play to your capabilities & strengths, keepers are a totally different animal mind.

Great result against Barrow and nice to hear you talking more positively about your team again. Say what you want about your manager but his enthusiasm and love for the game is infectious. Onwards and upwards on the football pitch anyway.

Safe trip to Newport, Gwent on Friday, your dedication and loyalty holds no bounds. I imagine that will be about a four hour round trip from Oxfordshire for you?

Incidentally the only time I've seen Sunderland play Newport County was in an FA Cup 3rd Round tie at Roker Park in January 1986. We won 2-0 and drew Manchester United at home in the next round and I seem remember Leighton James and Steve Berry (formerly of SAFC and Swindon) playing for them that day.

Around 3 hours mate.
Have a great Newport County Mate and we meet up every respective game.
I am finding these long drives now at night so much harder than I used to. Coming home I will cut across the Cotswolds and let the satnav decide the quickest route.

Would have gone by train but couldn’t get back from this one.
The League Table looks a little more comforting than it did when we went bottom after that woeful 4-0 away defeat at Colchester.
Holloway has done wonders since that result.
Would take a point Friday. Then we have Tranmere at home Tuesday and another win would be incredible. They look as if they are in real trouble.
Still think Carlisle are going to come good.

An interested US consortium has made genuine enquiries however would not be interested if we go out the League.
They don’t seem keen on selling the Club (I wonder why).

I expect you to pull away a bit now. It looks like at least three teams below are really struggling.

Your goal difference it’s good as well compared to the others.

Things in the game can change rapidly with decent appointments, for some reason I didn't think Tranny would end bottom two but your game with them will probably show why they're where they are. As I posted, results are what count and so many clubs need to get them - expect another tight battling game. When Omari Patrick went there I thought signs must have been decent but as Greavesie used to say it's a funny old game.

An upwardly mobile club like Swindon are a very viable business proposition but it all depends on what they can be picked up for along with internal & background signs/asset valuations.

Carlisle?????? Same as ever, one step forward two back or sideways. I reckon MW will bite the dust if instant signs of playing improvement aren't seen

If the club back him in what he wants/needs to do he'll be content which reflects in his players.
I've just noticed that it's a big midweek at the bottom end of League 2: Fleetwood, Harrogate & Colchester also have games apart from Swindon v Newport. It could go a long way to positions of safety depending on results. Acc probably won't get anything v Crewe (a) and Carisle are at Fleetwood on Saturday so it's a hold your nerve & be mentally strong period.
I've just noticed it's a bg midweek at the lower end of league2: Fleetwood & Harrogate have games apart from Swindon v Newprt. Colch could be dragged into it as they face Morecambe at the weekend when Carlisle go to Fleetwood, pressure's building & it could go a fair way to a postion of safety. Nerve holding territory.is here.

For all the joking aside his man management skills are coming through and bearing results. Not taking any prisoners and performances are showing on the pitch.

Does any other Manager give as long press conferences?
Just loves his football and hopefully keeping us up.

You probably aren't in from the game yet but what a victory for you tonight; (coached) belief within your players has shone through. 10 mins work at the best time to do it in a game!

Carlisle; back to normal after a win - no surprise. MW on borrowed time imo. They can still get out of it but as said they need to begin doing what matters i.e. defend & score.
 
Unreal tonight.
One of those games where you are glad the opposition got beat.
Whilst they came for a point they put some physical and late tackles in.
Hopefully signing an experienced keeper as we need one.

87mins playing against 10 men and 1-0 down.
Their keeper going down off the ball at every opportunity as well as a few defenders.
One simulating a head injury.
Not at our best first half but inspired substitutions once again won that game.

Once we got the equaliser, we just never stopped. Crowd behind the players and superb getting the winner and than moments later another red and a penalty that sealed the win.

Incredible transformation. The players love Holloway, no push over but installs passion and belief but above all has got them as a group.
Every substitute that comes on are changing the games.

Since going bottom of the League after being 4-0 down at Colchester at halftime we have pulled away from the relegation pack. Not out of it yet and need to keep going.

Makes the long trip to Carlisle Saturday something to look forward to and would take a point.

Starting to turn the corner Carlisle unlucky tonight and probably deserved something out of the game, be a difficult game
