TEST SERIES :: Pakistan v West Indies

Wonder how WIs will cope when they bat.

Looking forward to seeing it, for all the spin was excessive the bounce was good - I feel like it’ll play like it did when we were over there, if you trust your defence and are patient it isn’t impossible. We obviously didn’t have the patience

Lot of time lost today but plenty time left in the game if the pitch keeps going the way it is

Mental start to Day 2.

Pakistan lost 6-43 in being dismissed for 230 and West Indies 4-22.

It’s an absolute snake pit

All 5 WIs wickets to the spinners so far.

It’s mental how ‘bad’ this pitch is. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying watching, but the turn is so unpredictable that it’s near impossible to play. The Greaves wicket looked so ugly, it’s a ball that’s turned only slightly and he’s been clean bowled, so the inclination would be to say he shouldn’t be being beaten there - but the exact same ball earlier in the over turned about a foot

I’ve got a little bit of money resting on Pakistan, so I’m pretty happy to see the current state of play, but ultimately I think this pitch is weighted too much in the bowlers favour.

Mad to think the only thing separating the sides is that fifth wicket partnership of 141 between Shakeel and Rizwan. Apart from that, 25 and 16 are the next best partnerships.

One of the fielders just now on stump mic to the incoming Kevin Sinclair “hello brother, welcome to the graveyard”

Athenaze unlucky there, reckon that’s a huge error by the DRS because it’s CLEARLY hit him outside the line of off but it’s claiming umpires call.

Starts Friday, 04:30 at Multan, two Tests, both at the same venue - could have another tenth day pitch
Cheers matey. Been busy with work, didn't even realise it was on.

Just catching up. Fcuk me, games moving on a pace. Looks like the Paks are doubling down on their 'dubious' spin tactics used against us.

Like I said then, hopefully it's not a long term policy going forward for them. Does their fast bowlers no favours.

200 lead might be enough 4th innings. They'd want at least 250 though.
Poor pitch, it's making two average spinners look unplayable.
Yep. They didn't even tour South Africa over Christmas. Tells you all you need to now.

Oh Babar! What have you done? Missed an arm ball to a LH. Daft lad.

Windies just chipping away

182 lead now with 8 wickets left, Babar another disappointment, but Pakistan looking very strong from here.

As you say, the pitch tactic does their quicks no favours but in reality, it probably doesn’t do their spinners much either - because the big question would be; will they have the skills/technique to bowl a side out on a fifth day of a ‘normal’ pitch?

Does anyone know what the music is that they play very regularly inside the grounds over there?? It’s very catchy

Not bloody Adele again is it or was that just to appeal (supposedly) to the English

Nah, definitely not

My Urdu isn’t the best, but it definitely sounds more ‘homegrown’ to my untrained ears.

Been three bizarre DRS decisions this morning, WI on the receiving end of each one unfortunately too. That last one, the lbw, even Richard Kettleborough looked dumbfounded 🤷‍♂️
