Really minor annoyances

"Vehicle shown not U.K. specification" aka here's 30 seconds that you're going to hate about a product you can't actually buy in the spec that we're annoying you with.
Not that I play computer games or anything but my son does. I can never understand how an advert for a new game showing these high action visuals comes with a small note at the bottom saying "Not actual gameplay". Why advertise something with a video that doesn`t actually show you what you are buying???

Actually more than minor

Watching something on TV and adverts come on and they pump the volume so loud that you have to turn it down.. and then after the adverts you have to put the volume up again.. channel4 and ch 5 are buggers for it

You'd think modern tellies could do something about it themselves. Compared to all the smart features, an option for audio compression wouldn't be complex. There's umpteen different options for sound, but nae levelling.

Particularly annoying if you live in a flat. Desperate grasp for the remote to turn the TV down before you annoy the nieghbours.

I don't watch a lot of sources that have adverts these days, but I just hit the mute button. I don't want to listen to blurb about a product I don't want to buy. Some platforms give you a timer for how long the adverts will be. If I'm casting from my phone, I end up looking at the timer going down in silence, so most of the time I don't even know what the adverts are for. Shame I can't easily blank the screen too.

I honestly think people wouldn't mind adverts as much if they were always for stuff they like.

Hurry up and make adverts targeted like on the internet.

Adverts for sex toys from dhgate😂?
Starting to be a major annoyance but parent/adult ran kids social media pages, particularly when it comes to football. Posts with full paragraphs, loads of arse licking and free advertising. No way a 6 year old has wrote that

Windows when you right click a folder to open the drop down menu and it needs to think about it for a second or two.
The most used right click functions are surely cut / copy / paste.
But the geniuses at Microsoft have now put them in a separate menu so you have to click ‘more functions’ to get to the menu with them on. I fuckin detest the nerds who do this shit. Along with rearranging the tool bars every couple of years so you can never find what you’re looking for cos it’s now moved with a different icon. Why? Absolutely no reason to do this other than change for the sake of change.

Terrible click and collect setups at (some) Supermarkets.

Some do it well.

Some are horrendous. I'm specifically thinking of Tesco in Chester Le Street.

That is why I'm holding off using Windows 11. I tried it on my wife's PC and struggled to rename a file.

I think it is pushed by marketing as they need to make sure the new editions look different.

Years ago most things could be done via very detailed screens in Control Panel. Now you have to go through settings and unless you are doing the 2 simple tasks Microsoft designed the GUI for, you are stuck. After a lot of hunting around, you can eventually find your way back to the same old Control Panel screens that just worked in Windows XP. My biggest hate was wireless network settings. You can't tweak settings on a wireless network setup, only delete and start again. That was a nightmare when I was a network engineer and I needed to make and test small changes.
