Whittaker has 3 goals and 1 assist to Roberts 2 goals and 5 assists this season. One of Roberts goals was a penalty whereas Whittaker doesn’t take penalties for Plymouth. Roberts has also played 400 minutes more than Whittaker. Roberts is in a team fighting for automatic promotion, Whittaker’s side are bottom of the league.

I don’t think there’s much between the him and Roberts FWIW. Roberts is the better technical player but his numbers aren’t great. He’s also 27 so this is his peak.

Whittaker is 24 so still has some room for improvement, albeit not a lot, and he’s playing in a far worse team. I wouldn’t replacement Roberts with Whittaker, but they’d be a couple of solid options for this league.

That was a different penalty, against Plymouth ironically.

He's took 3 penalties during matches in his career, scoring 2 and missing 1, so baffles me as to why he was the penalty taker against Sheff United.

It baffles me how he gets so much game time tbh. His end product is non-existent.

Whittaker is valued at £9m whereas Roberts is valued at £3m. Roberts at 27yrs should also be at his peak. Whittaker has time to develop more.

His end product is that non existent that he has 7 goal contributions this season so far :lol::lol::lol:

He gets game time as he’s a very good player for us, he drags opposition players out of position leaving spaces.

Or 21 contributions in the last 101 games. For a forward that’s terrible.

Two goals this season.One a penalty. Not good.

Taken off dead ball situations. Obvious reasons.

One missed penalty.

He’s 27yrs old and should be in his prime.

Save your breath mate. People who don’t understand how good Roberts is have no place watching football.
The fact the bloke didn’t know he scored a Pen earlier this season shows he knows fuck all about us !

He's decent , but massively over rated on here , similair to loads tugging over Leaburn but for some reason not even championship clubs have been after Leaburn....strange!

Don't rate the lad... Yes he scores some cracking goals but seems to go missing. Where's he been this season for them.. we need players with better mentality.. few supporters on his back and he'll hide imho.
