It’s a brilliant Test this, I’m hoping Afghanistan don’t capitulate in the second innings, because if they can get a lead of over 150 it’ll be an absolute joy watching Rashid bowl in the fourth innings. He’s already got it turning square on Day 2

Afghanistan 186-6, push their lead to three figures thanks largely to Rahmat going to his second century in as many Tests.
Another 70 and I think it’s beyond Zimbabwe.

Bookies have them as strong favourites. It was a brilliant day of Test cricket, for the entirety of the first two sessions it seemed like every ball was vital for Afghanistan not to lose a wicket to - then after Tea they’d flipped the momentum and suddenly it’s Zimbabwe staring down the barrel.
Zimbabwe definitely been to the old Durham school of letting the game drift, I can’t even say they were bereft of ideas regarding Rahmat because to be frank, they didn’t try ANYTHING at all to him
. I thought all the way through the morning that 150 would be a fairly commanding lead but it looked so unbelievably flat all day that it’s hard to say now. Having Rashid Khan in their lineup is definitely a huge advantage for Afghanistan though, Zimbabwe didn’t have any spinner who could pose any questions, despite there being prodigious turn all day.Weather is a bit shit for tomorrow so a draw probably isn’t out of the equation, based on what I’ve seen it may be fairly straightforward for batsmen to survive once they’ve got their eye in. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if Rashid rips through them and they’re all out for double digits.

Survived a big lbw shout to Rashid two balls before, but a wide half volley that looked ripe for smacking to the boundary was clothed into the hands of extra cover. He looked gutted.

Williams goes for a big shot and is beaten by the leg-spinner from Rashid. He’s playing with an injury, hence why he’s batting so low, he never looked comfortable at the crease, as if the injury was giving him chew throughout.

Dont think Afghanistan should be allowed to compete in any international sports competitions. Surely banning women from competing is as bad as South Africas apartheid policy bak in the 70s & 80s!

It shouldn't be England's decision to make in the first place. The ICC should have stipulated to the Afghans. If the women can't play neither can the men.
As usual, if it doesn't have to anything to do with money the ICC/BCCI couldn't give a monkeys.

The Afghan mens cricketers have been speaking out against it. So punishing them is the wrong way of dealing with it.
Glad the ECB ignored the calls from people in Westminster to refuse to play them in the Champions Trophy

I strongly disagree, because by banning them you’re only punishing the athletes themselves. The people responsible for stopping women playing wouldn’t give two f*cks. Let the Afghan lads play, they’ve done nothing wrong. This was a fantastic result for them and I hope that in time they will continue to grow as a cricketing nation.
