Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

The club are taking their time with him, letting him settle in, learn the language and the culture. We are 4th in the league and CM is arguably our strongest position. I see no need to rush him into the team, nor do I understand the clamour/fewm from certain sections of our fan base. Maybe people are just desperate to label him “not good enough” and use that as a way to criticise Speakman.
Is it not because he was our most costly new player, would people not expect to see him?
Would it not have been better for him.to settle and learn english by playing him with the U21s instead of him sitting on the bench just watching week in week out?

This is exactly what I don’t understand. Reggie said he has needed time to acclimatise (the pace of the game etc) and also learn the language. Surely the best way for that is to be plying games- even with regards to the language for stuff used during matches?
Or maybe it’s better to learn all of that training Mon-Fri without the pressure of matches where the SMB football experts are analysing everything desperate to moan at the slightest mistake?

But it will also have zero bearing on what the club decide to do with Aleksic.
Surely you can see why people are asking the question? Connolly played a few u21 games to get up to match speed before being out int he first team squad yet this lad is in it without playing at all and not featuring
Absolutely no reason why we couldn't have given Aleksic 15-20 minutes off the bench in games like Derby and Oxford earlier in the season when the game was dead and buried. That and the fact that he's never been given another go after his Millwall cameo, along with his lack of minutes for the U21s, tends to suggest that Le Bris and his coaching staff aren't at all impressed with what they're seeing from the lad in training.

Feels like another Rusyn scenario with him at the minute.

This. Aouchiche is a number 10 or a winger imo and Reggie seemingly likes his midfielders interchangeable - dropping in when needed. You won’t get that from Aouchiche

I mean, I think Aouchiche is looking ready for a start. Some nice cameos recently. But we’re short out wide as well, so perhaps he can drop in there. Like you I don’t really see him dovetailing with Bellingham very well at all.

Aleksic should start.

It doesn’t at all. It feels much more like it could be a Mundle, holding the lad back. His age is completely different to Rusyn. And it wasn’t a panic buy. We will have a plan.

Preparing him to step in for jobe or rigg should they leave he’s already settled remeber succession planning that everyone used to go on about ? but can’t seem to get the jist
q

he may not be ready physically yet and needs a season in the gym by that time he will be ready to step on for jobe or rigg
I don’t think succession planning is what fans are debating here as most understand the lad has came in as part of that very planning. The issue being discussed is more about the fact the lad has came in and not been getting any minutes at any level which if I’m being honest find confusing. If he is here for the future then build him up with games and not just sit watching games as that to me and many others doesn’t seem to make much sense.

Exactly mate. As Lee Clark said when he came here like a brick layer just wants to lay bricks, he just wanted to play football

Or maybe some fans find it strange why he isn’t featuring for the U23s or is it U21s as surely that would be of more benefit to the lad.
