Max Power

Utter shite player. Hope he feels miserable and sees what it’s actually like to be a Sunderland player today not a shitebag that goes missing and just looks busy by pointing and shouting a lot.
I don’t think that’s fair tbh. He was one who tried in league one, especially when he first joined. That was his level though, and that shot in the play offs will stick in everyone’s mind haha. He didn’t hide though.

Bang out of order this post. He made maximum effort and showed desire, can't ask any more of him.

I hate this modern trend of slagging off or booing ex players. If they try their best that's all I ask. If they aren't very good that's not their fault

If you’re taken in by a bloke aimlessly running around for 90 minutes in a vain attempt at looking like he was trying and being passionate, that’s up to you. I wasn’t taken in, he was utter shite and he is a stark reminder of the dark days of League One.

Looking at the responses to your post so far, it looks like you were the only who one wasn't "taken in".

Terrible footballer. Pretend hard man.

Would rather have proper fans there than this gonk.

Don’t say that, the revisionists will tell you that he tried hard but what that was for is anybody’s guess. Wasn’t a very good hard man, was crap on the ball, was crap off the ball, ran around a lot though, so that must be it.

I'm with you tbh. He was a selfish footballer aswell.

Not fit to even clean the current midfields boots never mind lace them.

Hope he feels miserable going to the match with his kids? Why?? He had some poor games definitely, he wasn't the only one though, the whole club was in a mess at the time.

He also had some excellent games and scored some absolute belters. Don't think his attitude could be questioned, which can't be said for some other players, either before or during MP's time at Safc.

Hope we stuff Blackburn today and he enjoys the match 🔴⚪

I'm not taken in by anything you buffoon.

Your reply shows it's you that does not understand. I specifically said I wouldn't hate any player that tries. If they are not good enough that's on the coach that selects them and the people responsible for signing him.

If I was picked to play I'd try my bloody hardest but I'd be crap. That's not my fault I was chosen and wouldn't want to be hated by fans for it.

Well that second paragraph is a given. Nobody has said otherwise.

Doesn't mean he deserves the stick given by @AKickUpTheBerntHaas though.
Maybe not but I can't stand the bloke either. Embarrassing looking back that he captained the club.

His shot in the playoffs at the end from 40 yards summed him up. Useless, selfish and moronic.

Great to see him going to support the lads. Awful excuse for a footballer. Still can’t believe he captained this club. Stole a living.
But yeah, hope he has a great day watching us pick 3 points up today.

I think it was more of a poor decision by a player at that level than anything more sinister.

There have been many players before, during and after Power's spell at the club who have cared and tried less and been worse players.
