Max Power

Wouldnt know. not on £25k.

Ok. The point is it’s not the money you earn that designates you as a millionaire, it’s the value of your assets. For example investments, property, cash savings.
Your salary is not the determining factor. There is many a footballer been made bankrupt who have earned millions but got nothing

Oh aye he will be. As long as hasn’t eaten or bought clothes, a car, or gone on holiday for that matter.
£10k a month for 10 years equates to £1.2m.

For context, in my last 30 years of working, I probably average £2.5k a month, which equates to £900k. I've managed to buy my own house and feed/clothe my kids and still have enough money in the bank to be very comfortable.

Terminated? That at best is a spin of the facts at worst an outright lie.

he was out of contract at end of season and whilst he was offered a new one he’s obviously declined it. Not terminated in reaLity was it

Maybe it was an auto-renew based on a set of criteria that had been met?

Probably gone from earning 5k a week to 40k a week. I can’t imagine he’s earned huge sums up to now.
Exactly. He will have earned considerably more than your average working person but he is coming towards the end of a career with perhaps no transferable skills to find similarly paid employment. Of course he wants to maximise his earnings over the next couple of years.

It is easy for someone to say they wouldn’t work there but it is usually from a perspective of knowing that the possibility of a high paying job in the Middle East is never going to arise.

Just talking to the lads we plan to find out when the games are played and we will have a trip over see either Fowlers or Gerrards teams.
Weekend on the lash

I assume this is either a wum or you have no concept of income (and other) taxes and living expenses?

It does depend on your definition of a millionaire.

Mind the initial hypothesis is unlikely. He won't have earned an average of 10k a week. His best contracts were probably about that and he's almost certainly spent years earning less

There's a huge difference between someone who's consistently earned 50 to 150k a week jumping to 300k a week and someone who has earned consistently 8k jumping to 40k a week imo. I can definitely understand Max's choice
