Are yous underachieving? Depends how you look at it..yous are 5 points better off than at the same stage last season so you could argue yous aren't underachieving. But I recall a poll on your forum saying where you think you's would finish and there was a fair chunk who thought yous would finish top 2. Even top 4, and 8 points behind 4th at the halfway stage is a sizeable gap.

Yous have spent a fair wedge on players tbf, which yous would be expected to challenge for at least top 4, rather than be challenging to hold onto 6th spot. So with the quality you brought in and money spent, could argue perhaps underachieving.

Poster was right in several members of the forum suggesting Carrick could do no more and they wanted him gone. Personally Carrick imo will never get yous promoted. But yous do stand a change of the xG championship title so good luck to yous

This weird myth that our fans are deluded and expect us to finish top two - a lot of folk on here seemed to think that the league was won, when you were top.
The bullshit about us 'underachieving' because of our supposedly substandard defenders - two of those you named haven't even played this season, and another one has only just come back from long term injury.

I don't know of any of us obsessed with finishing above you.

I work with a cack loads of boro, wished I didn't, they are getting worse than the mags! Absolutely love it when we lose or draw. I never give a shit about boro until these clowns started harping on all of a sudden. You knowing who's ended up who's ended up higher over 8 years seems a tad obsessive too. They all think they are top two material and should be there. Funnily enough yous aren't! As for us thinking we'd won the league when we were top was bull also. Maybe a couple of silly comments but we are realistic on what we can achieve this season! Had too many ups and downs for us to think any different

You honestly believe the players you've named are League One level? Fair enough they may not be good enough to be starting in a promotion chasing team, but to say they're League One level is ridiculous.

Regarding the comment you made about most of our fans believing we'd be top 2 this season as well, maybe take a look at the thread below. Most predicted top 6.

First page of that thread were stating top 2 mainly tbf. Some top 3, and one top 4.

I keep reading these Boro regulars telling us that we supposedly don’t care about them yet there’s a lot of posts about them on here, well that’s probably because some Boro regulars post on our forum more often than some of our own fans and it’s only natural for us to respond even if, as is the case with Seaham Star it’s the same boring drivel every week.
FWIW I expect both clubs to be in the play offs but only one can go up. Tbh living closer to the shit hole that is Teesside than most on here I do look at them as a rival and would be gutted to be knocked out of the play offs by them, even worse if it was at Wembley.
I don’t think that will happen though. We are more than capable of getting the better of them, despite the money they’ve spent.
