The Pep myth

Southampton and Oxford have jobs available 😀
Pep has had an amazing career, so far, at Manchester City.
He has a great relationship with the City hierarchy (Soriano & Bergestein, who he worked with at Barcelona), so has had more input on signings than most managers.
I doubt he would go to a club, with so much outside influence (which is now often the case).
Would be interesting to see how he would get on at Wolves, for example ?

World class manager one of the all time greats.

Weird when people say he should go to Wolves just to prove a point 🤣

All good things come to an end eventually. Nothing lasts forever.
To be honest, looking his demeanor and some of his comments recently, he very much sounds like he's exhausted with it mentally.

He said recently that won't manage another club side, pretty much because he hasn't got the energy to go into another club and start from scratch implementing his coaching style, structure etc.

He says he wouldn't, but I reckon if he had a year out and the Barca job came back around, I think he'd be tempted for 1 more run at it. Especially where he's at home, with a club that already has his DNA.

Or he doesn't want another job because he'd get found out.

What do you mean by 'found out'? Do you mean he wouldn't win 5 PL titles in a row if he were in charge of Wolves? Of course he wouldn't, nobody would.
Well exactly he'd just be another manager.
Man City winning 5 PL titles in a row isn't solely down to Pep.

Of course not. But there's a reason they've won 6 titles in 8 years under Pep, and only won 2 titles in the 7 years before that, under Pellegrini and Mancini.

He's had very privileged jobs though, I've already acknowledged that. He was also pretty ordinary at Bayern, in terms of trophies. And I also think he lacks a plan B. However, in the PL he's had one of the best PL teams in history going toe-to-toe with him for several years under Klopp.

That Liverpool side, in any other PL era, would have won a boatload of titles.

he never inherited Messi, Xavi, Iniesta et al, he coached them at under 18 level...in essence he developed them and when he was elevated from youth team to first team they were steeped in how he wanted to play.
its like suggesting fergie had nowt to do with scholes, beckham et al.
given money that Arteta has spent by your logic he is an abject failure to
people on here still laud keane, yet in terms of wasting money and winning nowt he is peerless
Keane won the Championship after inheriting a side rock bottom in September. It was a hell of an achievement.
Not sure what else you would expect him to win here?
Which world class manager has ever dropped a level to prove a point?
It wasn’t to prove a point (actually, it may have been, I don’t know) but Clough had to with Forest
