Early days / weeks / months are awful. Ignore the twats who say 'ohmygod its amazing being a father, I feel complete as a man....etc' It's f***ing awful, hard work and we need to be honest with each other. You also have to support your missus who is equally as tired but has a bust fanny.
You get nothing back from the little shit pumping screaming sleep depraving nowt. Like a really demanding house plant.

I went to 4/5 shops for a can, specifically a can, of orange Lucozade, apparently a bottle wouldn’t cut it…

I am due to be a grandparent in May and cannot wait. I keep telling my son to enjoy the next few months as his life is going to change dramatically, but for the best.

She wasn’t too bad in terms of food cravings, though there was a period of particularly bad sickness where I wasn’t allowed to cook anything with much of a scent
The mood swings have been tough to deal with at times but she’s been doing great really.

It’s tough when they’re bawling their eyes out to the extent you think you’re torturing them and you don’t know what they want or what’s bothering them (it’s usually milk, it turns out, and I’m no good for that).

From my experience, first few months the lack of sleep is the hardest. Waking up every 2 or 3 hours wanting to be fed.
Then can be very scary when they're not well, vomiting, coming out in rashes & the like.
It does get better (well depends on children's, mines 2 & a bit, and is still a bit hit miss on sleep).
It probably does depend on temperament of the child. Owa lass made a few friends from baby groups & one of them were saying they were quite judgmental on parents with wild kids as their first one was calm. Then she had a 2nd which was a bit wild. Luck of the draw I guess.
Mine, is just mental. Can be hard work at times, but when in the right mood is absolutely hilarious & going to be a proper WUM when older I reckon.

I haven’t been allowed to turn on the air fryer since week 3, that has a particular smell apparently. Sickness was awful for her but she’s dealt with it with her usual gusto. Thankfully subsided now.
As for mood swings and hormones, she’s previously been pretty fiery and if anything it’s mellowed her.
I’m calling the pregnancy so far a win.
Oh and the bairn is fine, everything’s fine so far, almost forgot that.
