Forthcoming gigs.

The Unthanks were very good last night although the 7:30 start caught a few out. After the first three songs they opened the doors and let loads of people in. The piano player commented that he couldn’t tell if people were coming in or leaving 😂

Hoping I can get through to see Binaries do an album launch at the Globe in Newcastle on Friday evening. Going to be a tight squeeze around other commitments, but I like what I've heard of their stuff so far. Bit of a preview here - .
Related to this, a bit Q&A with Binaries ahead of the Friday gig.

She was great last night. Struggled to get to sleep afterwards as her songs were going through my head on a loop.
The House Of Love were very good tonight. Bit too loud though.
Thanks for the update - looking forward to it 👍

I thought about HOL tickets as they were playing in Brum - but just didn’t get round to it! Were the Primitives any good?

Some people enjoyed them. I found the vocals pretty flat. I only really knew their hit song Crash. Had a listen to a 'best of' before going, but they're not my thing.

Good work by the staff, tbh, as the 1st 3 songs were played as a kind of suite. Would have been a pain if all the people who squeezed past me had been interrupting the music. Times were on the website. No real excuse.

Really nice evening of festive gloom, I thought. The vibes player and Faye MacCalman - she is great - added something new to their usual sound.

I'm going to see them tomorrow night at the Barrowlands. Give me a review.

Anyone on here know how to get Fontaines pre sale for today?

I got Pre-Sale yesterday?

If yesterday is anything to go by, I wouldn't worry too much. I totally forgot about it, logged in 15mins after they went on Sale and got tickets straight away.

Imagine it's one of those gigs that will eventually sell out but not immediately. You can still get tickets for their Manchester gig and that's been on sale for ages.

Just in. Two great support bands, Flesh Tones and surprisingly Dr and the Medics.

Captain said his Da used to frequent the Barrowlands when he was a young dapper man. I reckon he was Bible John 😅

They were just fantastic. Our end of night song was Smash it up.

Looking good for old geezers as well.

Our first party of 2025 has been announced as taking place on .

As usual we’ll announce our headliner soon, but we’d like to reward those of our community who book up regardless with first dibs on lowest priced tickets at £15

There aren’t many, so head to the following link to get them before they go.

The only clue we’ll give is that our resident Man Power is made up because he’s gone on record many times saying this person is his favourite Producer and DJ.
