Craft Beer

Reet, so, bought 8 bottles from Brewlab recently. Haven’t sampled yet, but 4 for £11 isn’t bad at all & think their range change regularly based on who’s been in, so worth a pop.

Got my Wear Beer delivery Monday.

Was drinking Samson last night in the Firestation.

My Vaux box had got delivered today.

Had a moment of weakness yesterday driving (arguably) near Jesmond so did a bit of a Rehills shop.

There was some proper big hitting Omnipollo’s on there, but I can’t be spending nearly £30 on a bottle until I win the lottery.
I noticed the £19 ominpollo can last time I was in there

Works Crimbo night out through Magland. I’ll be in the Newcastle Arms in a couple of hours. I expect stouty goodness on cask. If I’ve got time might nip into BrewDog & see what they’ve got on.

Best have a warm up. 3.3%er from Brewlab. As you would expect, smells very carameley. Letting it warm up before I have a slurp, but based on the abv I’m not holding much hoping for it.

Also, got me a new beer mat

I'm onto me 4th Jakehead

Had a pint of the Northern Monk / Timothy Taylor collab stout in the Dun Cow earlier. Tremendous, wish I’d stayed for another.
Had it on Blues maybe a month or so ago. Was very surprised, in a good way. Tucked into a few whilst it was on.
Second best pint of the night. The best was Cuzzy in the BHV. Seemed a bit lighter than the original brew? Didn't taste like a 6.5%er
Seemed same as before to me. Cracking pint none the less. Canned also excellent.

Aye, proper beer mate for proper beer men.
San Mig light today pre match, bottles of.
Had plenty of that home brew crap years ago working in remote places.
Craft is nowt like home brew Vauxie lad. You can't come on here atempting to take the piss then revealing you're amongst John Smiths and San Miguel man Vauxie lad. Craft is so wide reaching for people to say they don't like it is rather foolish Vauxie lad. I mean it covers lager, ale, stout, porters, sours..... you get the gist Vauxie lad.

Home brew can be as good as craft if done properly. Not talking about the kits but all grain brewing. I’ve produced some cracking beers.

It's home brew that's all, just a phase that people will grow out of will never replace proper beer.
