Incredibly some on here thought he was shite
Be better than Clarke imho…. Just needs to sort his final ball and shootingThis lad has it , direct , can go on either foot
Raw but he has it
Got to keep him
Did Watson try to take it?Mundles injury will be the making of this lad.
Had their defence worried all game - should have taken the penalty considered he has a lovely right foot and takes the corners/free kicks as well.
Roberts stifled him. I get why he wanted it as he needs a goal also, but he should’ve let the young lad have it as he won it fair and square IMO.
If Watson takes that penalty we win 3-0 imo.
Need to take jack clark as an example where you cut in and shoot. Need to do more training to get more accurate shots on goalsHe needs time and patience to add goals to his game. The problem is that the experienced player on the other wing can’t chip in with a few.
This is another element of selling players, not blocking the development pathway for who is next.If you'd said in the summer that Clarke's replacements were going to be Mundle and Watson I'd have been concerned. Not so much now.

Rigg and Jobe look much bigger and stronger this season so I'm sure they can work on this with WatsonGetting better every game--snatched at a couple of shots but hopefully confidence grows.
If he can improve upper body strength it will make him a real threat. Hope He takes his opportunity to encourage other Young uns on the production line
Was getting kicked up a height by their lads and still had a smile on his fyass. Some kidda.I won’t be a hypocrite but Tuesday gone I thought it looked like too big a step up for the lad, but against Sheff United who are current.y the top side he looked the best player on the pitch for me other than their lad Hamer who has bags of experience in comparison. Now we have seen what Watson can do we can only hope this is the beginning of a great run for the lad similar to that of the other young players such as Rigg,Bellingham etc. Teams will look at how well Watson performed last night and he will be targeted for extra attention, which for the team is a good thing.
Did he take penalties for the U21s?One thing he doesn't lack is confidence. In games when his full back has regularly halted his runs he just keeps on going at them.
