Exactly this, it's no good saying you can't do the job after you've agreed to do the job.Farmers are well thought of hard working industry up at 3/4 am work u til it’s dark etc etc but belive me this labour government will has and will continue to shaft companies etc. What should have happened is Nissan and the likes should have said from day one we can’t facilitate this. That’s the responsibility of the top bosses to have the foresight to say this isn’t doable and they haven’t and that could be detrimental to its future. If you agree to deliver you have to deliver. No one else gets away with excuses if you say you can then do it, if not suffer the consequences. I for one think Nissan is crucial to the area but senior management have to be looked at as to why they agreed to delivering something that was clearly undeliverable. If Regis le bris said I’ll get promoted this season win champions league inside 3 seasons you’d think he was nuts,
And what is the depreciation of your car in five years time compared to the hybrid? Average lifespan of the battery is between 8 and 15 years depending on usage and climate, with both hot and cold weather reducing it's lifespan, we get both extremes in the UK, so battery life is probably going to be nearer the lower end I would guess, when a ICE is knackered, if the rest of the car is good you can usually pick up a second hand engine.£27k, the same as the hybrid Juke I was looking at
By your logic the hybrid would be buggered too it's battery is an integral part of the propulsion system. So I would have spent the same on the car but considerably less on fuel, looks like a winExactly this, it's no good saying you can't do the job after you've agreed to do the job.
I also think the previous government and current government will have known it wasn't achievable, but just maybe they wanted it to fail, who knows? But I wouldn't expect the government to bail out the automotive industry, it seems to me they've set a trap by getting all the manufacturers to sign up for achieving the impossible, knowing fine well they wouldn't be able to, I think the government has a ulterior motive, as to what it is I don't know, but I do know, no matter which party is in power they don't give a toss about the working class, or the middle class come to that, they're all a bunch of greedy eliteists getting what they can while they can, at our expense, don't trust any of them and certainly don't expect them to help us.

Who's going to want a second hand battery that could be due to pack up at any minute?
I’d be surprised if it’s that.£2000 lumper 2.5 & 3.5% take it or leave it offer apparently.
Will be accepted 100%£2000 lumper 2.5 & 3.5% take it or leave it offer apparently.
Apparently take it or leave it(been told there’s no vote which I don’t believe)Will be accepted 100%
An electric car relies solely on it's battery for power, a hybrid does not, the electric car's battery will have a lot more wear and tear on it than the hybrid's, so by my logic it would not.By your logic the hybrid would be buggered too it's battery is an integral part of the propulsion system. What’s 2.5 &3.5%£2000 lumper 2.5 & 3.5% take it or leave it offer apparently.
Tell me you don't know what you're talking about, without telling me you don't know what you're talking aboutAn electric car relies solely on it's battery for power, a hybrid does not, the electric car's battery will have a lot more wear and tear on it than the hybrid's, so by my logic it would not.
Good offer I'd say if true.£2000 lumper 2.5 & 3.5% take it or leave it offer apparently.
Near enoughWhat’s 2.5 &3.5%
btw from someone who doesn’t work there, if offered £2k and say 3.5% pay rise you would surely snap their hands off.
Yes I know the lump isn’t consolidated
Haha, I just googled it, and you are indeed correct and I was completely wrong, but at least I admit it, that's not aimed at you btw, but some people on here never admit they're wrong when they plainly are. So... I don't know what I'm talking about, there you goTell me you don't know what you're talking about, without telling me you don't know what you're talking about
is that supposed to be funnyJust checking in, they gone bust yet?
I give them 6 months.
Thicker than two coats of paint. Should be grateful we are even having pay talks at allGot 3k and 4% percent then 1000 then 4% so why would we accept 2.5%and 3% vote no no matter what
Again this is spot on ! If u can’t deliver something don’t say you canExactly this, it's no good saying you can't do the job after you've agreed to do the job.

Because inflation was much higher at the time you got that pay offer.Got 3k and 4% percent then 1000 then 4% so why would we accept 2.5%and 3% vote no no matter what
