I don't think anyone hate him, just that he gets chance after chance when others could come in for him but was picked because of golf team/leadership team. Same with Pope, who i don't think will be dropped because he's VC

I can understand why overseas spinners in general don’t get picked up, due to the glut of local spinners so it would be a waste of overseas slot. But I agree with you, I don’t get why Rashid doesn’t get picked ahead of many.

Nepotism all the coaches are from AUS/SA/NZ/IND and SL

England players generally don't get picked up to same degree as some bit part players from these countries do.

Because Rashid will often get recalled early to play for England.

Same for a lot of the English players - franchises know they won't be there for the later stages so don't bother picking them in the first place whereas none of the other countries have the same season overlap with the IPL

That’s fair in some years, but on occasions, this year being one, there are zero England games clashing. That will have been part of the reason in the past though for sure.

I seem to remember in its earlier days Notts used to allow lads like Patel, Hales & Lumb enter the auction only if they went in at the highest base price knowing they’d be priced out. I suppose that’s been a similar problem with England contracted players and the franchises wanting to ensure value for money.
