Jack Clarke

He’s hardly had a lot of game time has he, and I doubt very much that Ipswich will have a long term existence in the league either, best of luck to the lad, but he’s hardly furthered his career has he.
It may end up being a classic move where the buying club, selling club and the player himself all end up coming out of it bad in the long run, Darren Bent transfer also in that category - we didn’t recover, the big money Villa spent started their decline, and his career never kicked on.

I just found his comments on social media very unseemly and disrespectful. I think his daughter is dating Tom Watson so no doubt he will be agitating for him to go elsewhere soon.
I agree. Like I say though with no kind of code of conduct and nobody to answer to, he can pretty much do and say what he wants.

Championship player gets move to PL significantly boosting his bank balance in the process. Nothing to see here.
Was it only about the money or was it also about proving to everyone you're premier league player... his time at spurs fucked him up

how has he fucked his development? he'd already shown he was to good for the championship. wanted the move to the premierleague which i think he deserved so good luck to him

far too early to say like but i think he'll end up one of those players who falls into the middle ground of being to good for the championship but not quite good enough for the premierleague

Really tough ...and the spectre of his time at spurs might start to haunt him

I think his time at Ipswich may haunt him more than his old Spurs experience. Ipswich fans really don't like him so far. Not being good enough for a shit Premier League team won't be getting him any more moves up there when Ipswich are relegated

Thought it was a bad move for him at the time, he'd have been better off staying with us. But money talks

Why would he be better staying with us.
He's tripled his wages
Playing in the top division
Has ambition.

The only bonus for him would be playing more in a league he gets constantly marked out of the game and up against cloggers.

He's moved, we got paid, we've hardly missed him.
We move on.

I just don’t think he’s a premier league player more top end championship player

I've not watched them this season but from what I understand I don't think Ipswich play with wingers. That more than anything (if true) will be screwing him over, he was never as good for us when he came inside, he's much better when hugging the byline.

They both go hand in hand. Getting a move to the PL is about money. People live in cloud cuckoo land sometimes. If Barrow were in the PL and we were still in the Championship they would be able to take our players. Worst case scenario for the player is he fails and ends up back in the Championship. I don’t think he’ll ever be any more than a bottom half PL player for what it’s worth. I said at the time it was a bad move for his career in football terms but that’s pretty irrelevant really.

We look better without him.

This.

We look much better because we have some strikers and a better formation with two central midfielders that push up instead of just one. Mundle has been good but he's not reached the levels Clarke did or the consistency

I think they signed players for their promotion push next season
