*~*~* Luton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Aye one of them had 3 goes at Wilson near the corner flag and nowt given for any of them
I mentioned it earlier. They literally had 3 or 4 pops at him off the ball and he battled away and got a thrown in!

The ref was literally watching it from a few yards away. Completely ridiculous.

The ref was f***ing bizarre. He let play go on once, then Cirkin got blatantly fouled, ended up on the deck near halfway. The ref blew up and gave offside about 20 yards deeper into our own half 😂

The last time we played Luton was like land of the giants, they had a golden opportunity to get to the final and they took it. It was awful watching the up and under set pieces as we knew we couldn't compete. Tonight we showed them the real SAFC and they had no answer.
Thankfully our squad now is far superior to that squad.
We look solid and even gave housery back to Luton. Which wound them up even more. Patterson time wasting chuckled me
That game was refereed by the crowd
For second I thought you said coward?

That is one of our best wins in years.

Tough place to go, they put you under relentless physical pressure, coming off the back of an away win at another difficult place to go (Burnley couldn't do it), one days less rest as well.

Its an utterly brilliant win and to get 6 pts from two away games in the championship is immense. Back that up on Saturday and then away at struggling QPR and we could be sitting pretty.

Isidor is well up for it like isn’t he?

Kicked all over tonight which I’m sure he’s not used to. Still piling in off the bench when their player was acting up.
Yes he is. I think we immediately looked worse when he went off, he has so much presence and drags the CBs about, just generally a bother.
Massive fan of Alese but his injury might actually end up being a huge stroke of luck if it helped us quickly find out about Mepham's availability. What an absolutely huge difference he makes to this side.
I think Mepham and Ballard will be our best pair long-term, but they might think we have too many CBs once they are all fit, and won't want to spend money on Mepham. Alese I rate highly, he has a high ceiling if he can get over these injuries. But people forget Seelt, I really like him, he's got really good positioning and interceptions from what I've seen of him, he's also massive at 6'3".

We have Triantis too if he kicks on and isn't turned into a CDM.

O'Nien is having a good season but he's older and I think he'll get benched in favour of the starlets, who these owners will want to give game time and develop. I think he may even be moved to CDM as we are short there, he might also have to fill in as a fullback if Hume or Cirkin get hurt.

I called him that, And worse, during the game
I love it when win night games, game finished at 8.00am Sydney time.
Lovely sunny 20°C today and off out in the sun with the retro Vaux shirt on 🌞😎
Fk U 🤣🤣

Certainly some unhappy hatters at the end. 😌

Difficult away ground and a lively, open match. We grabbed all three points.

This seems like the 4th or 5th game recently we have won but never really seemed like we were really in control. I'm not moaning but it's kind of odd. Like we find a way which is only a good thing I guess.
