LEGO builds for Adults

To the Lego experts here - anybody ever bought any of the Ali Express sets?

Looking at the big yellow delivery lorry for the bairn for Xmas, but it's £90 in Smyths

But can get what looks the same on Ali Express for £6 or something. I'm assuming the quality must be shit, but has anyone ever actually done it to know?

I can obviously see there's a few differences in how it looks, but for the bairn that wouldn't be an issue. More bothered about the quality of the bricks, if they just fall apart or whatever

Bought a few lepin sets from AliExpress. Quality varies massively. Some pieces fit together perfectly and some just fall apart with little effort.
Then there's is the issue of import tax. I got caught a few times with unexpected custom charges.
The copy technics sets seem to be of better quality.

Ah right, doesn't sound ideal then, might give it a swerve.

Cheers for the info though.
