Putting it into perspective for folk. If he leaves Sunderland before the middle of June (I.e. whilst still only 17) and we get £25m for him, then he will become the most expensive 17 year old in football history. Period. The record for an 18 year is only about £45m. People thinking we will get north of £25m for him if he leaves in the summer or even as early as January are not good bedfellows with reality. Best we can hope for in January / summer will be £20-25m plus 25% sell on, and hope he goes somewhere like Dortmund who will development and then sell him in a couple of years to a massive club for over £100m. The worst financially for the club would be if he does a Henderson and joins a massive club for £25m and stays there for the rest of his career.

Neil was about number 7, Jobe was number 3, Rigg was number 1. Cirkin was one of 3 not chosen but worthy of a mention before he unveiled Rigg as number 1.

Real Madrid signed Endrick and Vinicius at 16 for more than €45m each, same with Rodrygo aged 17. Mbappe moved to PSG at 18 for €180m, although was stated as a loan for FFP reasons until a year later.

Not saying those are comparable to what we'd get but the £40m paid for Archie Gray this summer certainly is.

We’ve done so well to tie him down. He’s moving on soon particularly if we don’t go up this year but we’ll get wedge for him. Can you imagine if he’d not signed his current deal?!
 
Cant wait for him to go for £8m :lol: terrible cuckholds that we always are.

People on here will say it’s a good amount to get too, such do we love arguing / being cucks
