Is there a bar on and that or what?Class venue
There’s no draught just a very limited choice of beer/spirits/wine sold in the courtyard area, you’re not allowed/ supposed to take alcohol to your seat either. Is there a bar on and that or what?
Balls to that then! There’s no draught just a very limited choice of beer/spirits/wine sold in the courtyard area, you’re not allowed/ supposed to take alcohol to your seat either.
Thought the guitars were far too quiet compared to the drums - should have been a wall of lovely melodic feedback! Pity as the sound was crystal clear. Only 2 songs from Going Blank Again - not happyThoroughly enjoyed Ride at Boiler Shop last night, well worth the drive up. Mind, getting back today was a pain - Great North Run road closures & diversions!
First time at the venue & well impressed with it, decent beer on anarl.
Seeing them next month too - but on the night we play Derby !Got Robyn Hitchcock sometime in the next week or two and The Wedding Present next month, though I have discovered it's the night we play Leeds which is a pain
The Lemon Twigs next up at Manchester Academy on Thursday.
What were the stage times please?Tremendous last night at the Grove. Very talented lads. Bit disappointed that they didn't finish with 'Good Vibrations' but they more than compensated with a cover of the Animals 'Send You Back To Walker' and a cracking 'Runaway'
How much did that set you back?Just got a ticket for Gilmour at the Albert Hall.
What were the stage times please?
Thanks. I suspected that was the general timings for the tour but posts on Twatter that I could find have just been show starts at 8.20:00-20:30 - Tchochke (easier on the eyes than the ears)
21:00-23:00 - Lemon Twigs (though they actually finished at about 22:30)
NB the band were out and about chatting with fans pre-show, in particular a young lad in a wheelchair.
How much did that set you back?
To be fair, Gateshead gave up its autonomy with that Newcastle Gateshead crap.Elvis Costello very good last night in Gatesheed last night. Even if Steve Naive thought he was in Newcastle!
Bliddy Sky and the EFLSeeing them next month too - but on the night we play Derby !
It was a magical night. The harmonies were superb and they played just about every song I wanted to hear. Amazingly for the Grove the sound was very good and the place was rammed with fewer old codgers like me and lots of young uns.Tremendous last night at the Grove. Very talented lads. Bit disappointed that they didn't finish with 'Good Vibrations' but they more than compensated with a cover of the Animals 'Send You Back To Walker' and a cracking 'Runaway'
