CC : Durham v Lancashire

Very interesting!

Still don’t see where him and Rhodes play

McKInney has to play every game for us
Well after his step up it creates more of a dilemma.

If he hadn't have stepped up it would be less of a conversation.

Maybe the rumour about Lees posted on here about going back to Yorkshire isn't unfounded.

He had to play regardless, it’s the whole point of the club

People at the game the other week were saying if we didn’t back him, England would look to move counties for him as they rate him so highly

Totally agree myself.

You replied before I edited about Lees rumour off to Yorkshire. But yeah saw that rumour too on here.

Should be an interesting winter to see who is for the off.

Questions marks potentially over Lees, Borthwick, Bushnell, Glover, Gibson and McAlindon.

Bostock just said Gay is available for selection.

Could have played in this game if we'd wanted to select him.

Interesting that, given these late season signing announcements are usually for players arriving the following season. Either way, there’s a fantastic level of competition for places in the batting lineup now. Just need to bolster the seam corps.
Bostock thinks they’re off air. Couple of expletives being thrown around

He was good value there, a LOT of really interesting talking points - especially given he’s more or less been assigned the role of sorting out the County Championship :o

Think he shares my disdain over the gambling rules too.

The Lees rumours were spoken about by Marty too (sure it was Marty 🤔) and him leaving makes no sense at all really so I really hope he stays.

I will be gutted if Lees leaves. Makes no sense when his form has been so much better here.

Agreed. I can’t imagine the money would be that different, although ‘family reasons’ would be easier to understand.

That said, Yorkshire cast him aside years ago and we gave him a chance. He’s more than repaid our faith in him granted, but he’d be excellent for McKinney to learn from (a la Diva with Stoneman/Jennings) and I want him to be a County Champion with Durham.

Even family thing makes no sense. Yorkshire is literally the next county to us. My kid is moving to Leeds and it's under 2 hours' drive.

Bedingham is just class, isn’t he
Just glad he chose South Africa over England from a Durham perspective.

As they barely play so we should continue to see more of him. Which as he's only the second person to a 1000 runs in Division One he's worth his weight in gold.

They've said on comms who had recommended us to him previously, I just can't recall. But that person is owed many pints.

Do we suspect this is Borthwicks last season? Surely doesn't get in with the 2 new batsman on route.

He might be happy to stay in the squad and compete for his place, but it’s looking hard for him to justify his selection given the players that are coming in. I’m sure I heard he’s got a year left on his contract after this season.
