I just notice the confidence he has in his own ability, quite astounding for someone who has just turned 17...Gascoigne had it, Jude Bellingham has it.. And while I wouldn't burden him with that kind of comparison of level of player, he has the attributes to be an exceptional footballer.

He wasn't, he was just a very promising player. His first season at Dortmund was OK but not special apart from his young age. He only scored 4 goals.
He was chosen for England at 17 but didn't score an international goal in first 10 games. He was 19 when he finally scored which for a number 10 that isn't great.

Whilst I know he shouldn’t play every week for his physical development… for example I bet he does not start after international break having played 3 times… selfishly I want to see him every game whilst we can
He’s playing as an 8 for me… but that depends on your definition of course

Sorry but you’re just wrong. Like it’s not even debatable. People knew for years that Bellingham was going ( or was on track) to be a superstar. Just to compare him to rigg, in their first scholarship year and it was at the same level Jude played over 40 games ( more than Rigg. The next bits I kind of remember but googled to be sure, Rigg signed a pro deal here and is where he is. Bellingham signed a pro deal at Birmingham so they could get a fee for him. He then signed a 30m deal at one of the biggest clubs in the world who were in the champions league and become a regular. Within weeks he became the youngest Englishman to start a champions league game (so in the next few weeks in Riggs case) he won a German league young player of the month and in this equivalent international gap was called up to England u21 level. By the end of this season I think he had made his England debut and played 40 games at the very very top level of German football and In Europe. It’s complete nonsense what you are saying.
He is playing as an 8 he just moves forward to make a 2 as part of a press/block and that makes it sometimes look like he is a 10

Bellingham is at least a year ahead of Rigg (and his own brother for that matter) because he was a man at 16. Jobe has developed greatly in the close season. Rigg has developing to do, he's still a boy.
Jude looked like he was going to be a super star at 16 / 17 but he wasn't at the time. That came later. He cost Dortmund £20.7M. In his much vaunted first season in the Champions League he scored 1 goal in 10 games.
I’m not being funny fella but are you doing this on purpose. He wasn’t built like a man as a start. He was built like jobe, in fact I think he was probably smaller than jobe for a start. He wasn’t a year ahead of rigg, these are equivalent years. He only got 1 goal in 10 game, man he was playing in central midfield in the champions league at 17 years old!!! He was about to make his Englan debut in 2 months time. Unless Rigg can magic up a move to a champions league team in January and make his England Debut in November then Bellingham was ahead of him at this point ( that can change) but to say that Bellingham wasn’t thought of as a supreme talent , generational if that’s the term you want to use is mental, utterly mental. I mean here is an article before he moved describing him as generational as a starting point for you.

I have never, ever compared Rigg to Bellingham at this stage of their careers. They are totally different players. Rigg is very slight, about 11 stone and 5' 8". Jude was 6 foot at 16!
But Bellingham was not a world beater at 17. He looked destined to be but he wasn't yet.
At 17 Bellingham was ahead of Rigg. Not even a debate no matter what ever you add to it.

But that doesn't mean Rigg can't grow and develop into as good a talent.
I was about Rigg's height and build at 17. By the time I was about 18 I was 6 foot and 12 stone. If he does grow that should improve him in the air and other aspects of his game too.

He definitely didn't burst onto the scene like your Wayne Rooneys or your Michael Owens.
He played a lot at 16, got a big move but he didn't really make the big impact at international level immediately like they did.
To be fair Rooney and Owen were proper strikers whereas Bellingham is a 10 or an 8.
Certainly made an impact at Real though, I don't think anyone saw quite that coming (even for the pricetag)

He was ahead of him on reputation alone, not ability. If we get up and Rigg has a season in the prem then his value will exceed what’s gone on before. 50m plus.
