Chris Rigg

You talking Sunderland here or worldwide

I always thought a generational talent was somebody that only came along once every while worldwide. Ala Bellingham.
So in the last 10 years Rigg is among the best 2 or 3 17 year olds world wide. 👍🤣

Harsh as owt this thread .. hope he doesn’t read it. Typical English fans boosting kids up to be something they aren’t. People need to chill and let him mature.

I remember Mount being “generational”

Fair enough. I’d agree he’s a generational talent for us but certainly won’t be seen as one by any of the big boys for now at least.
Well of course not after a few games last season (out of position, learning) and 3 games in his preferred and natural position this.

Bellingham wasn't being called a generalation talent at 17.

He's a generational talent, possibly beyond both of the Bellinghams. It's hard to put a number on it but he'll leave for much less than we're happy with whatever the answer.
Hadn't whatever the older bellingham is called played for england seniors by 16 or something ludicrous?

Over Alex Scott, Adam Wharton, Harvery Elliot, Archie Gray and James Mcatee, he shouldnt.
He's far better than Gray and Anderson IMO.

I couldn't really comment on the rest as I haven't seen a lot of them. None of them are getting a regular game in The Premier League bar Anderson who's bang average.

I totally disagree, he isnt on the same level as Gray, Wharton or Elliot right now. Maybe he will get a call up at the end of the season when we have been promoted.

And to your previous point on Bellingham, he was being called a generational talent at 17 as was Kobbie Mainoo at 18. He has alot of work to get to either of those guys levels.

I can only assume Gray was tired after a long season because I watched him very closely in 2 massive games for Leeds and he produced absolutely fuck all.

This was the 0-0 draw against us and the play off final. Leeds were desperate for a goal and he looked an average bit part player. Summerville was lively.

His stats aren't great either, no goals in senior football in nearly 50 games.

I would expect him to chip in with at least a couple like Hume and Cirkin do.

Yeah looks like he debuted at 17, hadn't realised that!
I only know it from a previous thread on here with people saying jobe is going to be better
