Chris Rigg

Fair enough.

Its getting to be a worryingly fine line now though. Like to the point where we can't decide as a group 🤷‍♂️
Yes we should know. I normally think AI stands out and it's often the same male voice I recognise behind each one. This one seems higher pitched. But totally agree - it's silly we don't all instinctively know

😂😂😂

Mate people are comparing him to Wayne Rooney, Jude Bellingham and f***ing Lionel Messi man, these are world class footballers and arguably the best footballer of all time.

Chris Rigg is very, very good and has a high ceiling but a good start to a championship season as you’ve put it does not put him anywhere near there league yet 😂
I didn't compare him to them at this stage.

However, after making making a few cameos last season on the right wing he's been put into his natural position and his game has literally taken off.

It isn't the norm at all for a 17 boy, because that's what he is, a skinny kid really to start winning MotM week in week out. Maybe the odd one, maybe the odd dip in form and maybe withdrawn at some stage. It doesn't look likely at present.

He has been linked with pretty much every top team in the Premier League prior to this season so he is very highly regarded.

The sky is the limit and for me he is a super star in the making but yes it is still early days.

It's the little things that impress me. The control with his wrong foot against Sheffield and the instant perfect pass to Clarke for Mayenda's goal. The stepping out of an 80/20 challenge in one game, he would have probably been booked or hurt. Those things aren't taught, it's a natural footballing brain. Added to his ability it's a perfect match.

He's an unbelievable talent but I think people need to calm down a bit and remember that he's still a kid at the end of the day. Just let him play his game and enjoy him while he's here. The way some people are bigging him up already they'll be gutted if he doesn't win a ballon d'or

The improvement in Rigg from his debut last season is scary. He's making it look easy so far this season. He has what Ekwah just hasn't, plays with intensity and happy to fly into tackles as we saw on Saturday which lead to a goal.

Is what I would say if Rigg wasn't absolutely shite and everyone should stop looking at him.

He's some talent and the usual mob fail to see it.
In a recent match ( might of been Cardiff)he was tracking back and it looked like he was about to put in a tackle. He didn't and the tackle would have been late. It's these minor details in his descision making that put him ahead of his peers, and that's just one area of his game.
He maybe the best talent to come out of the AOL so far.
I've just said something similar but it was at home (Sheffield I think). We were winning easy, a tackle was there but wasn't really on and he just stepped away from it. Incredible decision making from a 17 year old, a proper fuck me this kid has the lot moment.

Yeah that was the one mate the Sheff Wed game. I hope we can keep him for at least two season's but a serious bid may scupper that.

There'll be loads of suitors in January at this rate. And I mean loads of top 6 clubs.

We have just got to hold our nerve and if he does go it's got to be really stupid money. And yes I do mean towards £100M because that's what promotion is worth.

Long shot but do you know roughly when in the game? I'd love to watch it back

It’s because he is a Championship player. If he was sold in the Summer to a Premier League team he would be in the England squad.

The funny thing is Jude Bellingham is a “generational talent” we have somehow got a 2nd generational talent. Imagine how good the England team will be in 5-10 years time.
Trouble is they all play in approximately the same position. We're going to have the same problem we had with Gérard and Lampard with Bellingham, foden and (if he continues to develop at this rate) Rigg.

2nd half, at 4-0. He was taken off on 78 minutes maybe a few minutes before. It was near halfway over towards the East Stand.

The ball broke, it was a good yard closer to the Sheffield player and I thought ooo he might get hurt here and he just moved very slightly towards the ball and just stood his ground. It was a weird, this kid is very clever way beyond his years moment.

Think Gazza doing his cruciate for a young lad being stupid. This was the complete opposite.

Edit: I got it slightly wrong.

About 72.30 he scuffs a pass, seems to think about going to ground for a tackle but reacts so quickly he just recovers the ball and passes it to a man.

About 73 minutes, Sheffield centre half sort of slopperly brings the ball out, half a chance of a tackle Rigg just moves slightly then let's him go.

Trouble is they all play in approximately the same position. We're going to have the same problem we had with Gérard and Lampard with Bellingham, foden and (if he continues to develop at this rate) Rigg.
Rigg is a natural 8. They are both 10's. Rigg is playing 10 because it suits him and us at this stage.

The MotM is more significant when we are 4 from 4 also. The other game it was a b side in the cup but he still starred. Its incredible to watch week in week out, lets enjoy him this year cos this boy is going onto play at the very highest level, and i cant see it taking long
