Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Just a hobby, I haven't even had it a year yet and I'm still learning. The drone (and editing) is very good at making me look more skilled than I am.
They’re very good and well done for documenting this. I look at old photos of Sunderland when various things were getting built or events. It will be great for people in the future to refer back to your videos.

Agree with this, appreciate you posting them on here.
Got to be a business opportunity for you what with the film studios being built etc.

Wonder if the smaller section 5 is coming on the back of a low loader by road

Looking at the photos of the Mid section and the South Section on the barge I'd say the smaller section in the plan above is part of 1 large south section now, I saw it posted that they were 105m and 63m. Its 4 lifts instead of 5 now which would make sense and there doesn't appear to be a temporary pier on the south side for it to sit on to be welded like the North Side.

Think youre right mate - was thinking that myself that the 2 smaller inner land lifts are just 1 now

Looks like the middle section is primed ready to be lifted, but that crane will never lift it from there . Is there a floating crane coming to lift it ?

Went up today I think
One section of the North side erected today.
The large middle section to be jacked into position next.
See video above
strand jaxks will be used from the south and north sections to winch it up..looks like the blue steels are the jack supports

Brilliant that, thanks for posting this.
This is exactly how the long middle section is to be lifted into place.
