Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

It’s funny because when you ask what happens if Mundle gets an injury, people say that Isidor will fill in there.
Yeah, because that's how teams work. Alese can play left back (well he can't play anything at the moment, but that's not the point). Is he a left back? Not really - he's a center half. Can Trai Hume play as a RWB, center back or right mid - absolutely - but he's a right back. Isidor is a striker - who also can provide depth on the wings. I'd like more depth at striker - everyone would. But Isidor is a striker for us first - it's what the club and player are saying.

Agreed mate, most of the young players we are looking at are a risk. Especially those from abroad and our recent record has been sketchy with these type of players.
He does that's correct. He's also been very average in 2 of those games and definitely not the answer for a club wanting promotion
Edit - FFS replying on phone and quoted wrong post 😂

It really is. No nuance, no ability to account for your own bias, unwillingness to accept any information that doesn't reinforce their preconceptions. I can't decide whether it's a waste of time arguing with them though.
It can be fun for a bit, but not when they are on the mass frenzy. Echo chamber of doom.

I agree he is a striker. The fact he can also play LW is good for squad depth. What happens if Mundle gets injured for a while/loses form and Isidor needs to fill in LW? Mayenda/Hemir or Rusyn up top?
We need another forward in the door if we want to get promoted this season - absolutely. But I also think Rusyn deserves a chance under Les Bris - perhaps as a winger or as a second striker in a 442. Hemir isn't even close... still. u21s or loan until he can prove himself, but I'm not holding my breath.

I’m a proper happy clapper but the striker situation isn’t looking great I fall into the same trap every final day of the transfer window and convince myself we will pull a rabbit out the hat

This massively. Selling Clarke is shit, selling him cheap is shit, but if we got in 2 good strikers and improved as a whole I can see the logic.

If the 2 midfielders are the best we come up with then the model will be absolutely finished in alot of fans eyes.

Are we selling our best players to improve and grow, or to cover the losses for KLD?
You’d forgive them, as you say, if it was reinvested and a plan was in place.

Coventry sold their two best players for massive money but have had a massive go of things and built one of the better squads outside of the parachute clubs.

Clarke was always going to leave but they seem to have sold him with the season underway for the same price as if they sold him at the conclusion of last.

The club, as it stands, need to replace 20 goals and assists, a very heavy burden on both Mundle and Mayenda (maybe five career goals between them) and Wilson.

The midfielder from France comes with an impressive pedigree and we need a defensive midfielder, so I will give them that. The Serbian lad will probably be earmarked to replace Rigg / Jobe.

Hopefully they surprise us tomorrow but it’s all feeling very, very familiar.

Imagine selling your best player for £15m and spending £3m on some 18 year midfielder and thinking that is anywhere near acceptable. Going to be another incredibly long season if a competent centre forward is not signed tomorrow, they have the money, no f***ing excuses now.

Optimistic aren't ya?
