Roko Simic - potential signing

I’m guessing we see Isibor as the striker, and told Simic this on the day he left the AOL with his agent look fuming (so they say) , Cardiff offering guaranteed first team football may have won the day for them.

We definitely need either another striker or cover for Mundle on the LW then if that’s the case.
They haven't offered him first team football, they are loaning him out 🤷‍♂️

Well that’d be an interesting strategy to employ. We’d love to sign you and we know you are rated but I do hope you like our formula one pitchside seats and puffa puffa coats

bizarre, why on earth go to Cardiff ?

He’s not even going to play for them this year because they - Cardiff that is - are going to send him out on loan to some random Eastern European club for a season to get game time.

Sort of feels we may have all got a little overexcited given that information.

We need a striker that is ready from day one.

More concerned Mendy deal seems dead in water.

Cannon just doesn’t feel realistic.

But they aren’t according to the article. Cardiff are sending him out on loan

How bizarre is this?! Plenty of us had him down as a potential "next level" signing and a definite starter. But Cardiff are gonna sign him and immediately loan him to some nobodies despite being absolutely shite themselves.
Just because that's what they wanted. The majority will never have heard of him, and might never again, other than in the 'remember when we were in for that Simic' posts, after he scores the winner in the champions league final, joins Exeter or anything in-between.

If this is true about Simic being bought and loaned, it looks like what we thought he might deliver was maybe overly optimistic ?
Have we already got a player similar to him on the payroll ? 🤔🤷‍♂️

Agreed, I would also add lost our best player for relative peanuts as well.

It is possible to question the ownership but still back the playing squad to the hilt, which presumably most will be doing.

Spot on. No issue at all with our players, who continue to be a credit to the club. How the club is run and the rational behind some key decisions is a totally different matter

Always said I will judge them on players bought with money from outgoing players. There will be hell on if the money isn't spent on a decent striker before the window closes.

Why were we in for him if Cardiff doesn't think he is ready? Surely our scouts has seen enough good in him to want to sign him. Top of the league and playing good football, you'd think he'd want to develop with us.
They also thought Hemir, Rusyn and Burstow were good enough
