CC : Durham v Nottinghamshire

They’ve Surrey and Essex next too.

Brilliant

I’ve got no real ill will towards them and Trent Bridge is my favourite away ground, but it would be quite poetic if Worcestershire stayed up and Notts were to go down given their recent ‘poaching’.

On a wider point, is that part of it? Having so few lads with no local connection and so therefore subconsciously it doesn’t mean as much to them?

Also, who was the last homegrown Notts player to represent England in a Test?

Surely Moores must be on the hot seat? They probably have one of the biggest budgets in the country and when you look at their team plenty of very capable players yet they are consistently crap.

Didn’t they go about 3 years without a first class win around Covid time?
The impression I got over the four days at the Riverside was that Notts appeared to be nothing more than a collection of individuals whereas Durham played as a team. One of the overriding memories I will take from the game was Wagner constantly giving Hogg advice during the first innings. The young lad obviously was listening!

Jake Ball and that was 8 years ago.
