Phil smith said on his video yesterday he was here for face to face talks but whether that’s Sunderland or not I don’t know

He also said Simic didn’t have a medical and the lad has multiple options

Also went on to say that Sunderland still want Mendy, they are stil after him and are hopeful of getting it done

I reckon only one, Isidor will play upfront I reckon, his first words in his interview was that he’s a striker who can play on the wing.

Also seems to have the attributes RLB might want up top. Tall, fast, good on the ball and can press

Russian lads on the interview with RR said Isidor isn’t a striker. Best used as a LW.
 
This is similar to Mubama imo

Good that we are being mentioned in same conversations but suspect he will get better offers from elsewhere that he will ultimately go with

100%. I also think for the specific role we need the striker for in the press etc, a striker like Isidor who is fast, can press, can carry the ball etc will be good.

If we get Mendy which sounds likely considering Phil smith has said we still want him and his recent statement he released. It will give us two different options up top. With Mendy being more of an out and out 9.

It's a tricky situation for coaches these days where essentially you only have one out and out striker up front but you're expected to get goals across basically a front three and have quality cover. Hopefully our academy is working very hard on developing versatile forwards

Not sure on the timeline here but didn't someone claim to have spotted a tall Serbian lad with long hair (Don't ask how anyone could guess he was "Serbian" :)) and his agent at the AoL prior to the info that originated in Croatia?
