Jack Clarke

Good luck to the lad. I hope he does really well and continues to improve and score goals.

He’s not from Sunderland but he gave his all and won us plenty of matches. Who can blame him for wanting to play in the top league? We’re not going to get there anytime soon.

Plus we get a few million for him in return. I’m looking forward to seeing the young French lad play. I hope our fans give him (and the team - currently joint top) a chance.

How ? If nobody wants to spend more than that now, how can we get it in 12 months time ?
It’s a crap deal btw, I’m not defending the club.
Well if nobody wants to buy him for what he's worth give him as new improved contract and jobs a goodun and he's here to stay.

Just because it's the only offer we got doesn't mean we have to accept it, especially if it's 7 to 10million less than what he's worth, it's madness.

Of course the fans will. Clarke leaving has nothing to do with the lads giving their all on the pitch.

It's highly unlikely Clarke would've got us three points today either.

So is a 12 million quid profit on a player not good?
It is but there is more context needed. I agree it’s a good profit though.

He wanted to go though, so the club have their hands tied…. I’m not disagreeing though, it’s a crap figure.

Don’t get all the “I wish him well” comments, he’s history, SAFC will be here long after the memory of Jack Clarke has faded, let it go boys and girls.
Ha’way the Lads

Eh wtaf!!

So let’s act like a spoilt bairn and say fuck him instead eh? He hasn’t left on bad terms with some even saying the club wanted him to go for the funds.

Why on earth would ya not wish a bloke who gave his all for the club well?

Did he definitely though? There’s been on tweet from Romano which could have been fed from the club? What we do know is that he’s gone and we aren’t receiving what he should be worth, imo anyway

Never more so than the first 2 games of this season when he clearly knew money might be coming.

Fuck him.
Yes, I'm sure he's chuffed, young lad, worked his way up to a big pay day, do you think he's in this as a pass time?

We had to accept it because we couldn't bring players in otherwise without the sale of Clarke.

There's no money in the transfer kitty now other than what is made on player sales. The board have indicated this before with the model, but I didn't think it would be as extreme as this. Its something we're just going to have to get used to in the coning windows, with more of our prized players getting sold to bring in others.

It all hinges on how successful the recruitment of the next batch of lads are. They really need to step up in that department.
