Jack Clarke

Even if he didn’t sign a new deal, he has 2 years left and certainly wasn’t playing like someone who is sulking. He’s been outstanding in both games.
Agreed, he's been completely professional. Still though, 9 times out of 10 if a PL club with financial backing wants a championship player, they'll get them. The league has been raided for some of its best talent this year, but admittedly half of them will be back here again next season

Not spinning, gutted he's moved. Despite SMB rumours I don't think he was going to sign a new deal, and he's very obviously had PL suitors the last year or so. This isn't an endorsement or "the model" by any means and none of us really know the discussions that have led to him moving, but footballers will want to play at the highest level, and we aren't there right now - simple as.
Do you work for the club mate?not many posts over five years and most are biased a tad towards the owners?

Some people are seemingly more bothered about being proved right and others wrong on here than what actually happens on the pitch mate.
I couldn’t give a shiny shite what people think of my opinions here, they are exactly that, my opinions and I’ll likely be problem wrong more than right but as long as we get points on a Saturday, I’ll be over the moon with that.

We’ve just massively weakened a side that have started off great with Clarke being integral to it and some are bothered about what others post on here in the future?
It’s so odd.

They act like they’re so grown up, when at the end of the day, they’re still on a football message board. They might sneer at people who boo but think they’re class cheering and dancing about when we score, they’re both the same really, it’s not a grown up pass time is it 😂

clarke has been sold at cheap price ,so why do you think that is?

Clarke is no doubt a very good player, although i have said in the past i was not a great fan of his as he used to get on my nerves forever coming inside, and forever messing with his hair. That being said i wish him well in his future endevours, hopefully there is a plan in place to replace him, onward and upward. H.T.L.

Genuinely think the club have been used by him being close to signing a new contract to firm up interest!
hes knows that hes the most saleable asset of the club atm....hes will have more than doubled his salary and then some...

Just stings a bit that its Ipswich who will struggle and he will be defending mostly

Aye I'm head of PR

For avoidance of doubt I think our last few transfer windows have been shocking, and the blame for that is squarely on the owners. I just try not to despair too much on here as we have certainly given ourselves plenty to go off in recent times

Easy thing for the club to get out in to the media.

Do you think he really wanted to leave?

He’s under no obligation to leave, he could just not agree terms with the buyers and stay

By agreeing terms with a different side and not agreeing a new deal with us he’s indicating he would rather be elsewhere surely?

Why not?

Isodor could be better than Clarke for all you know
1. Your faith is greater than mine as we haven’t signed anyone

2. I guess you would have said the same about Mundle et al

3. The chances of him hitting the ground running are remote… if he did sign.

4. We have just sold experience and consistency, neither of which we are likely to replace scraping the barrel

I'm actually fine about it to be honest. He's clearly a great player, but sometimes we relied too heavily on him and now it's time for others to step up and we move forward more as a team.

I trust RLB and i hope they give him a couple more players before the deadline to add to the squad - think we'll be fine

Exactly mate. Some must give this messageboard far too much importance.
Who cares what someone said 2 years ago or so? I’ve seen a thread bumped from 2022 after Clarke had a bad game when on loan man. I mean, what’s that about? “Look you said he wasn’t very good after we lost 6 nowt at Bolton and now you’re crying about him leaving” etc.

I swear some care more about having threads bumped when they’ve been proven to be “right” than what actually happens on the pitch on a Saturday. Everyone needs a hobby though, I suppose.
