Jack Clarke

Might be unpopular but I agree with this

Also club sacrificing a few million to get a sell on % suggests getting the initial money into the bank isn’t the primary focus and its more about getting the best overall deal
We haven’t sold him for 20m tho so that makes no sense

What evidence do you have that Clarke has driven this?

That rat Harte, yes. Clarke has been a model pro turning in fantastic performances.
That twat Harte will stand to gain maybe £300k from this shit move for Clarke and just watch and see how soon he’s angling for another move to grab more agents commission.

Would it have been better to accept the top offer on deadline day without a chance to recruit?

Is it low? Yes it seems so. I would have liked an offer that seems impossible to turn down.

Has the player/agent indicated that it’s this a transfer request? Don’t know. Will never know.

We are believing a twitter shithawk that’s paid to post by agents about things and claiming them as facts because it fits the narrative they want to set.

We as fans know fuck all. So getting angry over shit we can’t corroborate is crazy.

If Clarke is going, as he seems he wants to, and it gets us a striker or two then ok then let’s see where it takes us.

But some of the comments on here are crazy, most are pure fantasy and based completely in assumption and guesswork. No wonder the divorce rate is through the roof.

This is modern day football and footballers.

The pragmatic business minded me thinks it’s progression when we are selling players for profits when for a decade we spunked 100s of millions up the wall with no return.

A firing Clarke wasn’t enough to fire us into the PL without any consistent support. Does selling the crown jewel allow us to bring in three difference makers? God knows. It’s back to hope.

But no one expected Clarke to put up last seasons numbers when we signed him. And if you say you did you are a liar.

We rebuilt Clarkes career and made a minimum of £10m. Maybe it should have been more, but who fills his boots is more important now.
Why does signing a striker depend on selling Clarke though? We haven't spent a penny on transfer fees in this window and have needed a striker for 18-24 months. Bringing in a striker should be the bare minimum, especially after selling Stewart last August and the infamous Lihadji money that we were told would enable us to strengthen.

We spent more than half of what we'll make from Clarke on Hjelde, Rusyn and Aouchiche. IfI was confident we'd reinvest the money wisely I'd be ok with it but our recruitment since January 2023 has been atrocious. Diabolical.

Yes it's 5million short imo ,perhaps we had to take it to free up money to get these other 2 in ,
I'd have rather kept Clark and got the other 2 in but perhaps this wasn't possible ,
Let's wait and see but if we do not get these others in that are apparently already here then we can shout like fk

His agent is benefitting here, the absolute wanker he is
He was trying to get him a move last window and even then was yapping on about him moving this window - i hope Clarke does well cos he’s been amazing for us and seems a canny lad - Harte on the other hand is a typical money grabbing agent

I see the threads already turned.

It’s all Clarke’s fault. He wanted away.

The club and its hierarchy are brilliant iirc.

Like most things in life, you will have sympathy to the side you support. The truth will be in the muddy waters of the middle.

So we've become a feeder club for the like of Ipswich? You couldn't make this shit up!
When the Mags say 'Let's all laugh at Sunderland' - you cannot disagree with them!
