Jack Clarke

We were literally points from it last season with a one man squad who we've just sold.

If we got an injury to someone like Neil and Cirkin and Alese get their yearly injuries then the team is utter crap.

We literally don't have a goal scorer and we're being linked to unknown Russians.
He's French to be fair Zimba.

they’ve shown there ambition

Couple of quid in the bank whilst not having a side that is realistically going to challenge promotion.

As long as we are self sufficient who gives a fuck about the football side of things
This doesn't make sense pal.

Would it have been better to accept the top offer on deadline day without a chance to recruit?

Is it low? Yes it seems so. I would have liked an offer that seems impossible to turn down.

Has the player/agent indicated that it’s this a transfer request? Don’t know. Will never know.

We are believing a twitter shithawk that’s paid to post by agents about things and claiming them as facts because it fits the narrative they want to set.

We as fans know fuck all. So getting angry over shit we can’t corroborate is crazy.

If Clarke is going, as he seems he wants to, and it gets us a striker or two then ok then let’s see where it takes us.

But some of the comments on here are crazy, most are pure fantasy and based completely in assumption and guesswork. No wonder the divorce rate is through the roof.

This is modern day football and footballers.

The pragmatic business minded me thinks it’s progression when we are selling players for profits when for a decade we spunked 100s of millions up the wall with no return.

A firing Clarke wasn’t enough to fire us into the PL without any consistent support. Does selling the crown jewel allow us to bring in three difference makers? God knows. It’s back to hope.

But no one expected Clarke to put up last seasons numbers when we signed him. And if you say you did you are a liar.

We rebuilt Clarkes career and made a minimum of £10m. Maybe it should have been more, but who fills his boots is more important now.

ffs man everyone take a chill pill.....Jack Clarke is a cracking player no doubt about that!....but let's be serious it only feels like yesterday we paid for Will Grigg & over the moon we sold anyone for over a million!! It is what it is, nature of the beast that Premier league outfits will poach Championship clubs, let's see what pans out over the next few days & ktf
but… but… but… it’s jack clarke

So if reports are true we get £11.5m up front once Spurs take their cut. That's an insult quite frankly. The Mags got £35m for that Anderson kid. We've had our pants pulled down here and no mistake.

Everyone was literally points off relegation whether that was Leicester or us

We’re being linked to two good players from the accounts I’ve read on them. Particularly the Croat, many surprised about that.

Also, Ballard, Cirkin, Neil, Jobe, Roberts, Mayenda, O’Nien, Hume, Ekwah, Patterson, Rigg are not “utter crap” compared to loads of teams in this league, as you saw Sunday.

Bigger question is why half a dozen other premier league teams aren't bidding for Clarke at that price, absolute steal.
Because nobody knows the price other than the parties involved. Guesswork has said £15m + £5m. Maybe it’s more than that , more than the others are prepared to pay ?

Stewart was in the final year of his contract and wasn’t renewing, whilst recovering from a big injury. Clarke has 2 years left and has been our stand out player for the past god knows how long. Bizarre reason to sell him.

Totally agree with your point though, spunked the stewart money on absolute shite. Hopefully the same doesn’t happen again, not getting my hopes up though.
It’s also the thought of, what is £11.5m actually going to get us in terms of improving the squad, not just standing still?

We need a striker and a winger from that, minimum, and they need to be serious quality. That’s probably that money gone right there.

What’s your gut feel? Reckon we’ll invest £15 or spend less than £3m?

Cue fans saying spending doesn’t guarantee success

Ipswich are in a very niche position where they're not obligated by either EPL or EFL FFP regulations for the next 3 years as they're a promoted side with their pretty much bulk of League 1 squad so they can spend until their hearts content, so I do see the appeal of Ipswich if not next year but even 2 or 3 years
Fair enough but what they’ve spent nearly £100m is nowhere near enough to keep them up.
