Well I think Stuart Harvey technically is head of recruitment, but ultimately Speakman runs the whole footballing side.

The only starters this league season who weren't signed under Speakman are Patterson, O'Nien, Neil and Rigg. Rigg obviously signed his professional deal under Speakman having turned down some massive clubs.

Gooch started ahead of Hume in L1 playoff final.

Evans started instead of Neil.

Embleton started instead of Clarke.

Anyone want to do a straight swap for them 3?

I’m not talking about the 11 players who played in the final though am I? I’m talking about how many players that speakman has brought in play in our first 11??? And how many of the first 11 were already at the club before KLD took over the club? I’m not sure of the number btw I’m asking.

He prob is but it’s early days. But is Pembele better than gooch? I don’t think we can say every player were brought in since we went up is an improvement on what we had.

That's just plainly not true.

The only players at the club before speakman was in charge were Pattrrson, Onien and Neil.

Maybe Rigg depending on how you define the club

I'm a huge fan of Gooch. I definitely would have kept him till he retired. He's the sort to not complain if he's not playing every week but still is a positive influence.
 
Am I missing something? 7 goals in about 50 games and looking at his youtube compilation the opposition is poor and playing at grounds the standard of the npl?

If you look at the starting xi from Sunday only Patterson, Neil and O’Nein in the first team squad. None of the subs 9 were here either.

The Austrian Bundesliga is not the standard of the NPL 🤣 , he scored and had a MOTM performance in the champions league against benfica too he has scored 34 goals in 100+ games of senior football at 20 year old and was looked at by Serie a and la liga clubs this summer
