Jack Clarke

Michael Walker been briefed by Speakers to play this off as a cracking deal? :(

Let Speakman cook.
Or briefed to talk about it being a cracking deal then when we get a clear profit of 20 mill after spurs cut the deal looks even better and much closer to people’s expectations 🤷🏻‍♂️

Who knows transfer windows are simultaneously great fun and f***ing awful times 🤣

I'm not sure the club will buy another left winger, if he goes. They may think we already have players for there, Mundles, Rusyn and possibly Watson getting game time.
We'd go from having the best left sided winger in the league to comfortably the worst if rusyn was seen as any kind of replacement for clarke. He should be nowhere near the conversation. Mundle looks very raw too. If serious about pushing for play offs we'd need stronger there.

Proven? At what level? He has 4 goals in the Championship. Proven at League 2 level, yes
4 in 14 in the Championship at 21 isn’t bad, especially with restricted starts.

Record at age 20 and under in League 2 is tremendous.

Really weird one to scoff at just because you’re getting annoyed that Ipswich are currently levels above us.

The club obviously want to sell. He’s at what is probably his peak transfer value. He was made a contract offer which was deemed a joke by himself and reps…no other offer has been made to him. He is 100% happy to stay however if the right offer was made.

If serious about pushing for play offs we'd have probably signed a striker by now.

It might happen but even if we sell Clarke and reinvest it's going to be largely several players coming in from abroad who need to adjust and our foreign signings haven't exactly been a roaring success so far.

Both should be playing int he u21s imo
I'd like rusyn to be loaned or just sold tbh. Selling him would feel harsh on the lad but just dont think hes up to the standard we need. Mundle looks like he has potential but doesn't seem ready yet. Final ball needs serious work so time with under 21's would be good and maybe the odd appearance off the bench. Although not sure how that would fit in with watson's development.

Clarke should categorically not get sold with so little time in the window to replace him. Mundle isn’t the answer as he’s too raw, and talks of Rusyn are actually insane

Can anyone see an established club coming in for Clarke? Because going to Saints or Ipswich would be pointless considering they’ll both probably be straight back down end of the season.

If we got the two we are linked with, and kept Clarke, it’s hard to argue they aren’t going for it.

How is it weird? He’s proved nothing and yes, I agree Ipswich are a level above us and were last season. Getting 4 goals in 14 for a side finishing second isn’t anything whatsoever to be excited about.
Chris Rigg got 2 from 21, mainly from the bench, from midfield and in a shite side.

Agree mate. Guess we just have to.hope last year's activity in the market was just a blip and we sign well with any potential money we may get from clarke.
