Their plan is to sell players when they're at their maximum value. Clarkes value will decrease after this summer as he heads in the final 18 month of his deal.
 
Let's just wait and see. Clarke has been away every window...until he hasn't. Even if he is away this time for real, I doubt we'd (and indeed many other clubs in similar situations) would accept the first offer that comes in for him, especially since he's still contracted until 2026.

So he either signs a contract or goes. It is a no brainer.

But I am sure the club will get the maximum for him, as they have shown with the Stewart deal.

My issue isn't with not spending a fee, it's with most fees we do spend then has to be recouped by selling a player like it also was last summer.

Got no issue with the plan or strategy of the model. But the ambition to go along with is rightly gets questioned when we are so close to a decent side and the club barely seem arsed to bridge the gap unfortunately.
 
Criminal decision letting him leave now like. No centre forwards and the fact we are even considering letting our best attacking threat leave for a derisory sum while risking it once again on untested foreign players is comical.

Wish we could transfer list Speakman instead. See if anyone wants to offer £100 for him

I agree. We should have a budget that is increased by selling players

Until we sold Ross Stewart the club has spent without selling. Our spending is more than our selling over the last 3 years.

That's not including all the new deals our players keep signing.

So we should just blow our brains out then? Spend loads and never sell a player as it will harm progression, it isn't how life or football works - everything is for sale if the price is right.

How do you know the club are barely arsed to the bridge gap? Are you Biff from Back to the future and know all future sports scores?
 
I'm saying nowt. I was calling bullshit when all the 'ITKs' were saying Alex Neil was about to leave and we all know how that turned out.

Hope this isnt true about him going.
