Jack Clarke

I’d be gutted if he left either way but I could at least understand it if we get £25m and it’s to a premier league club. Anything less and to a team lower than the premier league is pointless

It’s going to be a long ten days……loads of deals still to be done in the premier league and I still think that’s where the biggest threat to us losing Clarke comes from.

Brentford will have £50m from Toney’s sale to spend as just one example.

£25m is almost too steep for virtually every championship club but it still looks an absolute bargain in terms of premium league spending levels.

If he does leave, I do think that Brentford or Ipswich would be a good fit for the lad. He will be given time to settle and shouldn’t be under much pressure.

A move to Leeds though will be the complete opposite. He will be under immense pressure almost immediately.

I don't think Leeds are in a position to put the money down for Clarke, if reports on their finances are right?

But I feel like this is Ian Harte up to his old tricks as usual and that's where the Graeme Bailey report will have came from.

Mundle, Aouchiche, Rusyn.
The preferred position of all 3 is where Clarke currently plays.
I'm not suggesting these players are anywhere near Clarke in terms of ability or their development.
These players being already at the club may be a consideration if we get that silly money offer very late on in the window.
If he does go and I hope he doesn't I can't see us spending any of that money on a direct replacement when we have options wide left that could potentially step up.
Just an observation that we do appear to be forward planning in terms of options already at the club should we decide to cash in.
I don't think any of the players will get the goals that Jack Clarke will give us but they may be capable of providing the ammunition for a Mendy or similar targetman.

It was never said that he signed it, it was said that he has agreed to sign.
Perhaps the discussion has been that he has agreed to sign the contract when the window ends, and we have agreed to accept any over over £X?

I’m not one for defending ITK’s when they get something wrong, but I’ve never seen skunk hater swinging his dick about and professing his credentials like most of the fake ones do. I also don’t think I’ve ever seen him get anything wrong yet?

That's far too sensible a take for this place mate, you need a pitchfork or a happy clapper shirt
