I don't doubt his info is good, but no announcement best part of a week later, and strong rumours of Leeds. Why would the club sit on it so long? I guess they could want to announce on match day, maybe

Yeah Rutter is going for £40m but cost them £25m plus £10m in add ons so not sure how much is profit vs servicing debt (Brighton met the release clause so technically not a sale Leeds initiated, still concerning though).

The fall from grace in football is tragic and it’s the fans that suffer, football finances definitely need looking at, especially spend to get and then remain in the Premier League.

Happened to me a few times, sometimes you just get excited and want to tell everyone. Have to keep your cards close to your chest though.

It annoys the life out of me pal, I couldn’t deal with what you and a few posters put up with. Ya hear a few things and post what ya hear in good faith, and ya have people tripping over themselves waiting for it not to happen so they can claim some unknown win.
 
Maybe he signed a new contract, but then after signing it Leeds have bid the asking price and so we have accepted it so rather than confuse fans and announce the contract they just don’t?

Unlikely I know, but as others have said the op is usually spot on, as is dicannios knees and both are saying he’s signed.

Either that or they’re keeping their powder dry and will announce it in the last day of the window to sugar the pill when we fail to sign a striker again?

I think that’s partly because of the way some people carry on about being ITK. Like Berb used to swing his dick about acting like his opinion was gospel, and he got more wrong than right but couldn’t accept that his source was shite (or he was, don’t know who was making shit up, him, or the source). And then his little band of disciples would all attack anyone who dared to have a different opinion on the matter. I think for some that’s caused resentment towards anybody who is labelled ITK.

I'd assume that it's more likely that there is an agreement that IF no one meets his valuation in this window, then he will sign the new contract after the window closes.

From a Jack Clarke perspective, why would you sign a new deal when there's a chance that a PL club could come in for you any day now?

Can’t disagree with that tbf. I think that’s the danger/balance of some of the itks though.

Your posters like Bob and Reiv got obsessed with the attention, it brought, so “bent” the truth so much it became complete made up horseshit.

Reiv was a massive Walter Mitty, for the record I had major disagreements with Bob, but he’s actually a decent bloke imo. I do think he hears little bits, but he exaggerates and ends up arguing and pissing people off.

I’ve never understood this thought. As things stand, SAFC hold all the cards when it comes to Clarke. Regardless of another clubs bid, SAFC have all of the power and can reject it. (Granted every player has a value and they would be stupid to reject a ridiculous offer, but theoretically they could)
In addition, Clarke remains on an average championship wage and has two years remaining.

If he signs a new deal, he will get an immediate significant wage increase, will have have another 2 years security (essential, should he suffer a Ross Stewart type injury on Sunday) and with an inevitable minimum fee release clause being inserted, will have actually taken some of the power away from the club. If a club meet that fee, the club are powerless to keep him.

Signing a new deal would actually better for him.

I'm relatively new to these boards, so don't know Reiv.

It's very easy to splice your opinion into things as well.

The last few things I heard were based off of the opinion of my mate, a week before we signed Poveda he said he thinks he'll be next. This was based off of some hard facts mind.

Rowe plays for Norwich not Leeds. The reason they had to sell players is allegedly they owe loads of money out for previous transfers, just because they've brought in a load of money doesn't necessarily mean they've got it to spend.

It wasn't just him though, there's a bunch on here so desperate to have an inner connection to the club that they deity anyone who claims to be ITK beyond d all reasonableness, even when 90% of what they post is shite, and this seems to provoke school children and people with learning g disabilities to pretend they're ITK in order to win Internet points!
