I know Leeds have had a shed full of money in, but they were on their arses struggling to get players out and get a team together start of last season. Do we think they're going to spend 20m+ on a single player with a year of parachute payments left?

appreciate they have to strengthen the squad but thats an awful lot at this level.

I'm not sure. If he goes for 25m then it's job done for me, although we'd obviously miss him and having pissed about all summer with Mendy would leave us massively short.

I’ve no idea about Leeds finances but so far this summer they’ve spent €17.5m and sold €116.2m worth of players with Rutter also expected to leave soon for decent money.

They are supposedly looking at paying £10m for a striker and are looking for a winger with Rowe looking to be heading for Marseille and Benson also linked.

Leeds have raked in millions recently-everyone knows this and knows to push them for top top whack
If and it’s a big if there’s anything actually in this story we would try and have their pants down -as their fans will want replacements to avoid embarrassment like v Boro the other night

Leeds have transfer fees to pay from when they were in the premier league over £100 million that’s why they have had a fire sale on players

Finances have obviously had a massive boost with Gray going, Rutter, Summerville etc. God knows where they stand having shifted those in terms of wages now.

Presume they have the money to go big if needed, but surprised if they spent what will likely be needed for Clarke.

Leeds are skint mind they owe a fortune in outstanding transfer fees they only got money back for a lot of the players sold with Gray being pure profit.

Couple of my mates are Leeds supporters are they are not happy with the window they need a striker Bamford form has fallen off a cliff and Piore has been nowt flash.

There second team was awful the other night

I wonder if we will start to see push back against deals with sell on percentages by players and agents?

In a situation like ours, where we don’t have to sell, it just means that percentage gets tacked on to the asking price so we get market value after the sell on.

Can see it leading to a lot of clubs not being willing to meet an inflated fee….which would work out well for us in this situation.

Didnt they get 120 million from red bull and now 100 million in transfer fees? Cant be that skint.

If they are genuinely interested, and offered around £20m up front, he’ll be gone imo.

Let’s be reasonable here - there hasn’t seemingly been huge interest in the lad from PL clubs; his contract is running down post this transfer window; they’ll be able to offer a much better wage than us; better PL prospects arguably; he is familiar with the club/area (maybe he is a Leeds fan although not sure about that)

It would be a good price, and selling players in such circumstances is supposed to be the entire essence of this type of model. Albeit, investing it wisely is an entirely different matter altogether……..
Bet you’re the kind of guy who goes back to a party and has a coffee.
