your point about us needing to being bought out and not being able to attain this limit ambition makes me want to respond that these are not mutually inclusive...more over if kld hasn't got the resources to achieve those modest ambitions why is he here? If I'm a 26 year old billionaire...I wouldnt want to own sunderland ( many wouldn't )

The reality is ( and its not being disproved ) is were a cheap operation ... incapable of evolving on key areas. I ask red to prove that's not the case.
What is acceptable and what is not given where we are and how do we achieve our ambition of making the playoffs with what we have?

Can anybody prove we are not run on a shoestring ... can anybody further prove that not having a 1st ready striker I'd OK for over 440 days... if the current situation OK and are people genuinely happy for it to persist indefinitely ?

Don’t the club accounts show that we’re not a cheap operation, ran on a shoestring?

There are no excuses for not having a striker fit for purpose mind, the money we have had has been used badly it seems.

No mate, I never said anything of the sort, but anything is possible in football, see Danny Graham. I'm just fascinated how in such a short space of time we couldn't possibly know 'roughly' how much we got, to being "not a chance" we got that much. He also had a good length of contract left which would need to be considered

It’s an unpleasant situation for everyone, the player, the club, the new shareholders and me as coach. For the moment, everyone is losing out in this story. It might be too late to start chasing someone else though, it ends two weeks today and it's taken us 17 years to try and get this lad over the line.
