Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

Who gives a fuck what other fans think?
and Sunderland fans certainly can’t be viewed as entitled. Methven tried to spin that yarn in League One and compared it to when his Oxford were in non-league. Well of course there is expectation to be getting out of it at the first attempt and frustration if you don’t, that is the same for any club like us in the situation.
No-one can accuse us of that in this league though. I’d say every single fan would be delighted with any kind of play-off push as we know where we are at the minute.

Going approaching 2 years without a striker and seeing us drop from 6th to 16th with the worst form only behind Rotherham due to it then putting our money where our mouths are with regards to renewals isn’t entitlement.

Exactly mate. Our fans have been absolutely brainwashed with this 'model' shite that gets spouted.

wonder how the conversation would have went with Jack Ross and Speakman in those last hours
based on the evidence we have: they’d probably both have been home and in their pajamas by 8pm as they’d agree he wasn’t worth what was being asked. We’d have had Maja tied down long term so it wouldn’t have mattered.

That’s just objectively not true though. You might not like it, but they have a strategy they are sticking to.

People on here just make stuff up because they’re in a huff and it makes them feel like they know what’s going on.

I do have a good idea what’s going on and unless there is change in direction very shortly this season will be finished before it’s started. If you have faith in the competency and where we are going with the owner and Speakman as I a fellow supporter I absolutely respect your opinion. I am also entitled to my own opinion and I have lost total and utter faith in the way the club we both love is being run.

It's clear some seem not to be picking up on the warnings signs

Not signing strikers ( even mediocre ones)
That scenario persisting for over 440 days
Not spending any money
Chasing targets beyond reasonable expectations or sensible timefames only to fail

A bigger worry is that recent windows have been poor ... January and last summer were sub pur and this summer has a yet Not provide the required change in key areas

Ambition and sustainability seem to be inexorably linked at safc ... but the question still stand what is the clubs current objective .. its doesn't feel like promotion is a viable one

I firmly believe that we are just a player farm...one that just needs to keep treading water in thd championship to keep providing a reasonable level to hot house players and appease the fans to some extent.

There is no real evidence that this assertion is wrong

Ok…..but that’s not what I said. You claimed there was no model, and there obviously is.

I didn’t even broach whether it’s a good one or it’s being implemented well, it’s just objective truth that there is a strategy.

The people who are unhappy can’t stick to what we know, resorting to hyperbole for effect.

Cracking post mate. Another thing, i posted after game other night...there is absolutely no winning mentality at the club, from the top all the way down and throughout the club...."plodding along" should be our new motto.
