Ryan Campbell has made one change to the squad with George Drissell dropping out having sustained an ankle injury, with Jonathan Bushnell his replacement in the 14 player squad.
 
I was going to make a joke about giving 10 overs of spin to Clark seeing as he kept last year, but I forgot he’s away in the 16.4 bench warming too.
 
Drissell is not the answer to clubs spin problems. They need to look elsewhere unfortunately - not sure what is coming through much younger but don’t think he is any better than reasonable club bowler either from what I’ve seen and heard.

Worry a little for how long Mustard will stay in the set up - considering the hype about Robinson and potentially him being involved in higher honours through the summer, would worry about Haydon being pushed up to 1st team duties.

Academy has produced and continues to produce excellent cricketers (McKinney very recent case in point), just need to somehow manufacture that talent into gaps 1st XI need filling… impossible to predict the gaps years out I know.

Do any of the wise sages on here (or even the unwise ones 😁) have any idea where this is being played?

Darlington Feethams was the venue when first released

Im also surprised they haven't had any friendlies leading up to it

I imagine some of the Trapdoor Army will be hoping for Silksworth or Whitburn.:lol:

One place it won't be is the Riverside itself as of course the 4 day game against Notts starts on Thursday. My money is somewhere nice and close like Richmond.:(

Unsurprisingly there's nothing been said on the Durham site although to be fair they have given a mention to a Drone Light Show in September!
